:: Southwest - Full Splice + Wrapless + Bridged Point ::

Nice cue! One has to wonder. What evil, master mind, cue flipper could conceive such a cue and have the influence to get it built?

Would you call this a "Jake West"?

Larry

Some say he's only 3 foot tall with a pink mohawk and runs the toughest street gang around Texas....

Thanks for all the kind words guys...I just can't wait to shoot some with this cue on Friday.

This cue will be reunited with some of its fancy peers at the China Cue Forum this weekend. Expect loads of pics this weekend!

Thanks Jamie, I knew I had to have this cue when I heard about this project a while back. Too cool :)

Jive, will you adopt me so I can get cues like this?..;)... you always get the nicest stuff!!!

Congrats!

Wow

It is great to see this collaboration. Often ego interferes with two or more people who are well regarded coming together to make something great. Glad ego was put to the side on this one. Congrats on a great cue. One of the best SW to date.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.

I don't want to open a can of worms so i'm going to say everyone has to wait for their spot, i didn't say this cue was made sooner because a blank was provided. An actual spot was used.

Jake made a beautiful blank and i trust that SW saw that too and therefore is willing to collaborate.

I hope we can all take the time to admire the cue as opposed to steering it into a different direction. It's not the fanciest but it's unique.

Adopt you??? Sure!!! Just tell me where to sign. So what's mine will be ours and yours will be mine right?

as an old family friend of the Franklins and a buyer of their cues for decades
I get a couple of cues pr year
My orders have been in for years and years

This year we did something special

No one is losing a spot and no one is breaking in line

So there is no reason for anyone to be upset

Laurie did a great job on these cues, starting with a blank
provided by one of the best young cue makers in the business

At one time Jerry and Barry were going to collaborate ,
but I decided I would just as soon have one of each

I love the fun of the unusual don't you

Jerry Franklin made me several from Titleist blanks so this is
really nothing new except for the super high quality blanks that
Jake provided

Full splice,bridge veneers

I don't have any more, and may never have anymore,
if we do it again I will sell them to noteworthy collectors
who intend to treasure them

great idea...better execution

tap tap...

congrats to deanoc and their new owners.

thanks for sharing the pics!#!

One of the neatest concepts I've seen on here in a good while. I have always really enjoyed working with a cuemaker and trying to come up with something really unique. This fits the bill.

Congrats to everyone involved. Awesome cue!!

Boxed fullsplice veners

Awesome in all details is all I can say for this combination.
Love fullsplice and boxed veners, too. Two years ago I had this
idea also. Talked to my cuemaker about it and canceled it.
I'm realy happy to see this is possible to do. Like the creative
work for cuedesign from JH (surprise that we've the same initals).
And this blank from Jake with the traditional work from SouthWest
is a outstanding gem. I'd call it a great milestone in the cuemaking
history of fullsplice. It's also fun if you know Al and Mike from SW.
Was a real pleasure meeting these guys in person this year in Vegas.
@Jive - you're such a lucky person to own this beautyfull cue.

Jive,

That cue is a mutt with high pedigrees from the two makers and is an off the wall combo.

One of a kind and very innovate in more ways than one.

I would never think about selling this one as you can't replace it.

Rick

This is quite unique, it will be very collectible in the years to come for sure. I'm curious to know if the bridged veneers are inlaid, or go all the way through. Either way, it's an impressive feat.

I've been too busy to bring this cue out for a test drive..will do so today!

Thanks for chiming in Dean!

of course, sorry about that, I've been sorta douche lately, must be the lack of sun light, apologies

Am I the only one who feels like this devalues the SW name drastically? I mean don't get me wrong the cue is very nice but isn't this making SW a cue assembler and not a cue builder what's next ? A SW w a Davis blank? It just shocks me Laurie used a numbered pin on a cue they didn't build 100% JMO

Dude. You get a lot of nice cues but this is one I'm actually REALLY jealous of.

WOW.

I wish you sold the stuff you got like everyone else!

Enjoy this. If I ever get a SW from Laurie I can only hope she'll be open to something this awesome...
