Special Helmstetter cue made for Willie Mosconi

information only

I posted to provide specific information for Craig Rittel, who is a great guy,
and for anyone who wants facts about the cue. If Elvis had accepted the motorcycle in question then it would have been his motorcycle. Now if somebody made a replica of said motorcycle and then printed an image of Elvis on one side of it I suppose someone could then try to resell it at the fair while showing the OTHER SIDE ONLY. That's what happened here. Cues are serious business to some people and Craig had a legitimate question. And since nobody pm'd me about this then I'll take that as nobody wanting to question me directly, only indirectly. I hope my information helps someone who has sincere interest in the original cue that the ebay cue was patterned after.... it is a nice cue with a sh!tload of inlays. Thanks for the backup Craig..... hope business is good

I, for one, certainly appreciate your input in regards to this thread and the Cue in question ... That said, I may be contacting you in the future in reference to the actual cues owned and used by Mr. Mosconi which are possibly for sale ... My respect for Willie Mosconi and his game have been a driving force to continue playing pool until I can no longer hold a Cue ... Thank You, Sir, and good evening.

Take Care

Just want to add that there were many cues made for Willie Mosconi.

Willie was the recipient of gifts of several cues a year from Palmer and others. He would re-sell them to supplement his income. It does add considerable value to a cue if Willie possesed it and sold it.

I would say that if you made a cue for Willie Nelson and had it bored out, whereas you could turn it into a 59" bong, it would sell like hot cakes.

At the very least Willie N would buy one.
