Brian,

If you post now I'll try to smuggle some salt in for your marginally edible "healthy" hospital food.

Chris

Hi guys, and again, thanks for all of the kind comments.

The surgery went well. The aftermath as expected is a bit painful. However, everything appears to be on track for a full recovery. Will provide a better update when I have some more energy.

best,

We may have to start a GoFund for Brian....
....apparently while he was still under the effects of sedation....he offered the orderly
the last three and the crush....the man is insisting that the game is on...one week..

...who the hell would've thought that Thorsten Homann was working at a hospital?
:yikes:

fast recovery

Our fellow AZer and good friend Brian Carrol AKA Kicken Chicken is going in Tuesday for a valve replacement and I would like to wish him a successful operation and a speedy recovery. He is known to all for his quick wit and eloquent threads. Good Luck Brian.

Good news, Brian had the operation on Tuesday and it was a success. Thanks to all the well wishers from Brian. BTW he is looking for a little leverage now, like the seven ball, warning, don't be fooled.

Brian hope you have a very fast recovery !!!

It's alive! Way to go, Brian.
Speaking from experience (I've had my chest cracked open twice), see if you can get one of the Candy Stripers to take her shirt off for you. Best therapy in the world.
Also, get one of those little heart shaped pillows so that when you cough, or move around, you can hold it tight to your sternum and it doesn't hurt so bad.
Six weeks from now you'll hardly know it happened.

Great to hear that, Brian! Now for some excitement while you recuperate, watch some pool streams and help me count safeties.

That must be some powerful stuff they have him on to keep the Chicken from peeping.

Brian, I am confident that you will be back IN FULL FORCE shortly. Wanna buy some salt?

Seriously, that is major surgery indeed and the recovery will take some time.
