Speedy recovery for Kicken Chicken

Brian, Good to hear from ya.

Get some strength back, walk the hallways with your rolling metal tree stand, and work up a good number 2....and get outa there.:thumbup:

Wishing you a good recovery at home.

Take care

Hi guys, and again, thanks for all of the kind comments.

The surgery went well. The aftermath as expected is a bit painful. However, everything appears to be on track for a full recovery. Will provide a better update when I have some more energy.

best,
brian kc

Great news. Thanks for letting us know you are still Kickin':)

We may have to start a GoFund for Brian....
....apparently while he was still under the effects of sedation....he offered the orderly
the last three and the crush....the man is insisting that the game is on...one week..

...who the hell would've thought that Thorsten Homann was working at a hospital?
:yikes:

This is funny in more than one way:thumbup:

Get well soon

Glad everything went well. I hope you have a speedy
and full recovery, KC, but take all the time you need
to mend up properly.

Glad to hear you're recovering well Brian!
Brush up on your diamond systems while laid up and then get back to kickin'!!

speedy recovery Sir, you got the 7.

The whole thing could've been done a lot quicker....
...but Brian insisted they find him a bed that was 4,5x9.

As soon as you get better, Brian, so will the jokes...

No they won't.

Gideon<-----If only PT told jokes as well as he plays

Alrighty

When you're well Brian, you'll have to play the ghost to get back in shape...

When a table sits idle too long, the rails tend to get slow....they need being hit.

I hope recovery is going in the right direction, Brian.

Thanks, pt and all other well wishers; you guys are great.

Last night I went to bed not feeling real well and, unfortunately, ended up needing a visit from the 911 ambulance crew at b3am. Thankfully, they were able to quickly identify the reason for my drenching sweats and weakness - my blood sugar was way down in the 30's.

So, instead of an ambulance ride they brought me to my kitchen and made me a peanut butter sandwich and then retested me. Levels went up and I did feel much better.

The docs at the hospital where I had the surgery have me on like 30 pills a day - I think they need to do some dosage tweaking. :yeah:

Otherwise, I think things are going okay. It mat be a month or so before I can get shooting again and breaking will be another month after that. I am chomping at the bit.

MISSED OPPORTUNITY: My friend, (legendary Larry Ross) asked that I call him with an update after my surgery.and the day after I returned home, I made that call. To my astonsishment, he was at the same NYC hospital that I was and likely in the same cardio care section. If I only kew, we could have passed the time talking some pool.

I was in a room with a $10M view of the East River and the active helipad. I couldn't have cared less about that.

I would have enjoyed pool stories with Larry, though.

In the day or two prior to my admission, az was having a tech issue and they had the site completely down. That prevented me from providing a heads up on here for another friend and great az'er Cliff az boradriver, who also needed some heart work done. He apparently had a stress test that didn't look great and so he had to do another cath lab and he has now added another stent to his collection.

A big wish for these two guys to be well and recover fully.

And thank you all sincerely for the thoughts and prayers that were sent my way.

Very appreciated!

best,
brian kc
