Spoke With Kevin Varney

He is getting better but it's a slow process, I'm afraid. I actually spoke with him on the phone last week or early this week and he sounds the best he has in a long time. Unfortunately, he has other serious problems besides just his health now. I'll inform him that folks are asking about him.

By the way, Kevin's laptop is down and he has no Internet access at this time, in case anyone needs to know. He cannot log onto AZ nor can he receive email.
 
Just a short update; I just got off the phone with Kevin after a 5 or 6 minute conversation. He was getting ready to put the oxygen back on after going most of the day so far without it. The doc thinks he's doing quite well so far and so does Kevin. He will have one more month of medication to clear up his lung infection. I'm guessing, just guessing mind you, that he may be back in the shop around the first of October, if all goes well. Let's hope so!
 
I just got a text from Kevin. Apparently, someone on AZ who had Kevin's phone number and was asked, as a condition of having it, not to give it out didn't keep that promise, didn't mean anything, I guess:mad: Kevin is getting calls he doesn't need to get, including the asshat who told him he "could care less about my health, when is his damn cue going to be ready".
Absolutely unbelievable!!

honestly kv is known for doing this kind of stuff. it's been going on for years. maybe he really does just have the worst luck possible idk but there's a simple solution. don't take peoples money if you can't give them what they're paying for.

i hope he gets well soon i really do but if you're healthy enough to collect peoples money you should be healthy enough to either give them what they ordered or give them their cash back. if this had just been a once or twice kind of thing yeah that call he got would have been way out of line. but there are a lot of people who've been "varney'd".

i know a couple years ago 1 or 2 people pm'd me to vent about how angry they are that the cues they put a deposit down for to have built hasn't been finished yet but somehow he's got other cues for sale.

I can't comment on that, I read about it but I didn't know Kevin then. I do know this, however. I'm done.

Since a couple of you have asked, politely, I'll share this with you. I had to think hard about it because in my last post in this thread I'd decided not to.
Kevin went back to the doctor in October. The doc was not happy with the progress of his lungs healing. Apparently, there is a lot of scar tissue damage. He changed one of Kevin's meds and told him to come back in two months. I'm assuming that will be around the end of December.
That's it, there's more but I don't feel I should share it with you at this time. If I told you everything that's going on, you'd probably call me a liar. His lung disease thing is just one of the things going on. I can hardly believe so much crap can happen to one guy!

I picked up a Varney a few months ago and I have been shooting with it quite a bit. Excellent Cue.

I hope he is doing well.
 
Kevin has not answered the last texts that I've sent over a two week period now. The last time that happened he was in the hospital with pneumonia. It could be that his cell has been turned off for lack of payment. I don't know and am concerned but don't know what I can do. I don't even know where he's living now. I'm going to try to actually call him today and see what response I get.
