Stealing library books

If the book is one of 10 copies they have, there would be no reason to steal it and pay the library fee .
You would just buy it from another source.
So, people find rare books and steal them and cheat everyone who ever looks for that book for eternity, from a chance at the information.
Shame on you.

The library is a spectacular source of info, I had a encyclopedia of crime type book from the library that had some pool stories in it, it's been so long ago and can't remember the exact title or find it at the library after many searches... Needles to say someone else did not return it.
There are a few new but most library's are old and have the best of the info in the basement archives.
Your local library is connected with lots of other library's and can search huge data bases for you and request a book to your location if available.
Check-out your local library for pool related books and post them here..then return them... sounds like fun'

About the only pool book I found at the library by me was Pool For Dummies. Maybe someone stoled all the other books.

These are the only collections of stories I can think of that might match that book you were looking for. There is also the series "Library of Larceny" that has republished "McGoorty". Do any of these ring a bell?
