Ok. But if the players knew they were getting a piece of what the side betters are betting then it does have relevance and can be advertised as ITM as they call it these days

Using the term "in the middle" overstates the size of the bet by two times, and calling money that is bet on the side as being in the middle is similarly misleading.

“in the middle” is a term borrowed from poker, and IMO is a proper way to clarify whether the bet is per side or not. Over the decades, we hear all kinds of crazy numbers becauser there wasn’t the clarifying. I suppose on a one-on-one matchup, saying, “per side” would be fine, but someone borrowing from poker (Big Nasty for one) wasn’t meant for deception. It was just an already used gambling term.

He may have used it when he got started. He may use it now. We don't care, and this isn't the place to discuss such matters.
He would be right where he is today regardless of how he aims the ball because of his level of talent and dedication.
Congrats to Tyler.
His hard work is paying off. He has earned 100% respect, because he is getting in the box more often than any other American player (rotation games).
Because of this, he is the US player I currently believe will be our next top player once Shane decide to enjoy life and spend more time away from pool.
I could surely be wrong about him, but he works harder and challenges himself more than most.
