SVB, best all around in the world.

And on top of it all it was reported that Shane is going to play Busty for 30,000 in California and was looking to set up an all around for another 30k with Efren.

That's balls to go after the guy who just beat you out of 10k and triple the bet and to challenge the best living player to an all-around.

Win or lose that shows amazing heart on Shane's part and on his backer's part.

Ya know, Shane loves to go ice fishing...anyone that loves to fish...KNOWS you need the right bait to catch the big ones...and be willing to wait until it bites your hook:cool:

Y'all can keep saying "best this week" but he's the best all around playing period.

Shane is playing great pool no doubt. Efren is the greatest all around player I have ever seen. Why would someone want to play a 58 year old man in an all around to see who's best? If Efren was ten years younger Shane wouldn't have a chance

When and where would these match ups with Bustie and Efren take place?

When's YOUR great week going to happen then, John? I'm very much looking forward to your new banking video - I'm already expecting 32 mins of footage, comprising 4 actual shots and 8,000 words of description.

You know, this morning I'm just hopping on the Main Forum reading the threads that I am subscribed to and your name keeps popping up with the same ad hominem attacks and constant attacks on aiming systems and the users of aiming systems in thread after thread.

Seriously, don't you have anything better to do with your time?

Is your world so miserable that you have to try and bring that misery to others in this forum?

I've attempted to not beat the dead-horse (naysayers) but guys like you try to bring strife to the forum.

People wonder why I respond the way I do and it is because of people just like you.

Quite a wit you have there. BTW, I'll 2nd the fact that you a positive contributor.

John Barton is ALWAYS making postive contributions to the forum and he has been very toleratnt with the trolls that continuously follow him around the forum looking to stir up controversy by "making a name for themselves"?.

This is awesome; I love it when someone gathers himself off the ground, brushes off the dust and goes at it again. Like Alex against Shane in the early matchup. Like Bustamante going after Archer when he had just done his 13 rack run to shut out Busty. Like Charlie Brown after Lucy pulls the football. Oops, maybe not that last one! :p

TAP TAP TAP

Joey runs 150 and out with this post!

Thaiger,

You are obviously passionate about your game or you wouldn't be here defending your opinion at all costs. You are also showing your competitive nature by the amount and nature of your responses. While these are all admirable traits to be successful as a pool/snooker competitor, your posts are overshadowed by the reason you post.

John has admitted his "weakness" of not being able to let something go and tear himself away from the keyboard. He is not alone and at times I find myself being a little too preoccupied with the banter that should go in one ear and out the other. It stems from the passion we all have to be moving in the right direction mentally with our games. This translates many times to our self worth and confidence outside of this arena. Everybody likes to think they are last word on something.

Constantly sniping, ridiculing, and playing the one upmanship card do little to correct an attitude or supplement an inadequacy we may sometimes harbor in ourselves or perceive from posters on this semi-anonymous forum.

I take a deep breath and push myself away from the keyboard and admit I'm not a threat to SVB and Johnny. My opinions are anecdotal and just maybe, I might be on the right track. If I hear an opinion I don't necessarily agree with, I catalogue it and wait for further proof before I dismiss it. I'm pleasantly surprised when I'm wrong and have said so on this forum. As my ex pointed out though, I'm never wrong.

Just sayin'.

Best,
Mike

Was this a "World" title?, taking nothing away from a great achievement but I think "world" may not be the correct description.

hmmmm...just wondering, wasn't most all the best players in the world from OTHER countries playing in the DCC....as well, in which Shane came out on top of all of them?...I'm just a little confused here...was the DCC limited to just AMERICAN players only...or was ANYONE in the WORLD invited to play...and try and win?

What are you on? Please expand on your statement and syntax.

My apologies for speaking English, the language my forefathers invented, and others have bastardised to the point they don't understand it.

Mikjary wrote a lot of words with little obvious point, finishing his efforts with "just sayin'". I then asked him what he was on about.

Clearer?

Whether it's a world title or just the prestige that goes along with the win, I'd trade places with him in a minute.

Best,
Mike

Move over Efren... SVB is the best all around player in the world. If he could make money in straight pool, he would master that too. 1st in 9ball, 1st in one pocket and 2nd in banks... Unreal. Say what you want, but he's currently the best all around in the world.

Best in the world?...I probably wouldn't go that far considering he hasn't won any major international tournament. All the best players in the world were not at DCC. Best player in the US and at this years Derby city....without a doubt!!!.
