SVB JA Day 3

Shane BREAKS

CB hits the one a little off center and gives a dry break but JA doesn't have a shot at the one, the three blocks it. JA breaks out the jump cue.

JA misses the one but gets a lucky safe on Shane.

Shane kicks the one but leaves a shot;however, there are a cluster of balls that will be difficult to open up.

Shane didn't want to let JA come back to the table at all.

JA doesn't leave himself the best he could've on the two.

He plays a good safe on Shane and Shane calls the two in the side playing it as a two way two rail kick safe. He leaves the CB sitting on the rail and sends the two ball up table. JA has a shot on the two and makes it, but the CB hits the seven leaving him bad on the three.

Shane jumps and hits the three and BURIES the CB in the five nine ten cluster.

He gets bih. he plays through to the five and locks up JA with a safe. JA miscues and still luckily hits the five getting out of being in two fouls.

Shane safeties him again and JA tries to safety him back but leaves him a shot or a safe, either one is available.

Shane goes for the shot and misses.

Johnny asks to be allowed to shoot right here, he says "I'm just nervous that's all".

Ja makes the shot. JA should end up on the hill if he can run these four relatively open available balls.

He does it and gets on the hill. 24-18

JA breaking...

JA breaks dry with a nice open spread.

Shane runs out to the five but gets a little more angle on it than he wanted.

He gets out, 19-24 (edit, JA has not won yet)

Shane BREAKS

Shane breaks good and then miscues on the two. JA only has to make seven balls to win.

Four balls left to win the title. Barring a miracle, Shane is done...

And it's over JA wins it and will play Busty next weekend.

Sorry guys I won't be watching next weekend unless someone wants to buy my viewing for me. If you do, I'll do a play by play again for you.

Tonight it was vintage Archer. Two shots in particular stood out for me. With a 16-13 lead, Archer had a close call between offense and defense and chose to play a very difficult shot on the one in the side while bridging off the back rail. He hit it superbly and ran out the rack. At 18-13 ahead, after a safety battle in which both players had played well, Archer jumped in the two ball along the long rail and ran out. To me, these were two moments where Shane might have changed the momentum in the match, but didn't get the chance to because of Archer's brilliance.

Shane didn't really make that many errors in offensive execution, but his safety play was very shaky while Archer's was outstanding.

A fine display of ten ball by two proven champions. Congratulations to Johnny!

This is what I like about Shane in a race to 100....the score right now would be 66-66...tied up, with 34 wins to go for one of them...down the long stretch;)

Race to 100 wouldn't mean anything but who can go on streaks.

You want to bring your best game right away and show your best stuff before fatigue and other factors that may come into play such as age, fatigue and interest.

Race to 21 would be perfect...Keeps everyone's attention span high.
