The guy Shane just played had a monster break and was squatting the cue ball. People also mentioning how Ko could run more than 4 balls must not have been paying attention either. The guy played very good. Not sure what match you guys were watching.

I approve of the pocket sizes

SVB had a couple of rattlers that would have been spit out quickly on a Diamond.

The difference between me and SVB? Gotta be the cue.

When your opponent beat the bnr ghost 26-23 it's kind of hard to showcase your talent. ..

THIS. SVB was phenomenal today and could've beaten anyone and everyone but Nick plays great. He paled in comparison today but I imagine most on this forum saying he can't run 4 balls would want no part of him.

Speaking of Euros, where's our haggis eating forum brothers?

We are here.

Shane played superb. No question about that. He is world class. Not many in the world who can match that speed, if any.

That said, the depth of quality in the field of Greek players was also astounding in the tournament that preceded... I had no idea how many very strong players there are in a small country like Greece until yesterday, and I am European.

Shane shot a 950 and had a 53%BNR rate. That's crazy for a race to 50.

I got a suspicion that Shane set two world records here.....

ACCUstat 950 over 71 games

53 percent break and run over 71 games

That has got to be stronger than an ACCU 1,000 in a race to 11.

Where is AtLarge?

Nick played fairly well, but it's very hard in pool to get any rhythm when your opponent is playing nearly perfectly and parking you in your seat. We've all seen a host of other championship quality players struggle under the kind of constant pressure that Shane can apply when he is in stroke. The list goes all the way back to Tony Chohan who went out to South Dakota to play this young upstart named Shane and got blown right off the table. Then it was Deuel, and then Strickland and then the list goes on and on. The only player I've ever seen get knocked around by Shane and still get back up is Alex in the infamous race to 100.

Although Nick may have had home court advantage, he still had the stones to challenge Shane to his best game in a long race, and in front of his hometown fans which puts a whole different pressure on him. I have nothing but respect for Nick stepping to the plate.

Absolutely! The Greeks have more monster players than just Nick. I honestly feel that they could field a Greek team that could possibly beat the USA team. SVB is simply the best player on the planet right now.

Just for clarification the 951 Shane shot is a Pooltrax rating. It is not an Accustats rating. I don't know how different they are, but I do not believe they can be directly compared.

Well the Greeks may have invented ass f*cking, but it looks like Shane perfected it.

Thiager strangely silent. I wonder why?

You screwed the joke up... Here is how it goes.

Nick the Greek and Tony the Italian are arguing over which culture gave the world more. Science, Medicine, Art, law, literature, Government, Math...for hours it went. Then Nick turns to Tony and says...I got you...Greeks invented SEX! Tony ponders and says so what we introduced it to Women.

I thought he played pretty damn well too. I missed a couple half-hours, but don't recall nick missing more than a couple balls.

Tough to fade a guy backing up each game won with a b/r.

Thanx for that...now I'm really curious....
...where the hell is AtLarge?

I still suspect that both are a world record.

Here let me fix that for you....

I thought he played pretty damn well too. I missed a couple half-hours, but don't recall nick missing more than a couple balls.

Tough to fade a guy backing up each game won with a b/r OR THREE.

There I fixed that for you...
