Priceless:
  • Tickets to Greece....$1200
  • Hotel and expenses...$600
  • Having the best 10 ball break in the world...Priceless

Nick

I was listening to some of the Greek comments after the match. For the sake of the women and children I will keep them to myself.

Shane wins 50-21! A remarkable performance from start to finish. It never looked like he broke a sweat.

Like I said Shane was on the lemon when he got beat those 2 sets for $250 each against a lower level player than Nick. He probably made a killing off the rail. JT

another long race horsefu@#$ing at the hands of Shane. This truly shows how big of a gap there is between the Europeans and Shane. They can win races to 5 or 7 though, lol

Lucky for us the gap between Shane and the rest of the US is even bigger;)
Some of us know though and bet the right way (even if they are now sorry they did not bet a lot more).

They gave him applause at the end 2-3x longer than he would have got right here at home imo

There is one thing that Shane has, that no other player in the world has, in a long race... Composure.

welp.. guess thats the last time shane gets invited anywhere near there.

I don't know about that...I've spent most of the last decade in Europe, especially Greece and Cyprus. Shane's loved there...he's synonymous with perfect pool in their eyes. Some guys clearly lost some money on the rail and were chirping; but their butt-hurt will heal and this match will be talked about with reverence for a LONG time. ;)

This match needs to be on youtube, there is a couple shots he made with shape that left me in disbelief.

You right sir. I was thinking on a couple shots; damn it would be sick if he did this and came close. He not only shot the shot and made it but got shape. I don't anyone in the world would have beaten him today.... well done Shane !

It will be different when he plays Ko. Ko Pin Yi has the break to match Shane and the precision. Then you will see a really tough battle between two evenly matched warriors. But it's not a long race, Shane probably has the slight advantage if the race goes to 50+ simply because he gets into a zone that few do.

Kudos to Nick for stepping up. He knew what he was up against and stepped up in his own bar in front of his hometown crowd. Good man! Lots of heart.

Speaking of Euros, where's our haggis eating forum brothers? I'm wondering if they're still hoping that some one trick pony takes SVB down playing martian 8 Ball (or some other unknown game with "8 Ball" in it's name) :D.

Nice playing Shane.
