if its a 10ball tourny your probably right 9ball johnny archer would be the favorite, he a great player butt u cant win all the time.
 
I think people need to realize that when you get to the level shane's at then you can't win everytime. If you put the top 10 players in a tournament everynight for a week, then you whould have multiple winners. Shane can beat johnny but johnny can beat shane to, Corey can beat Mika and Mika can beat Corey etc etc. You could go on for days.

In my opinion Justin Bergman is no nit .
Maybe getting the 7 from Shane is fare ?
I met Justin last year and he seemed like a very nice young man .
He was very polite and down to earth and as far as his game goes
I think he has all the potential in the world . I look for him to be a future star in the pool world and wish him all the best !

I have also heard some good things about your game Donny and wish you all the best in your future as well sir.

I think some people are putting unreal expectations on Shane. He has amazed me in the schedule he has kept up. And every tournament I have followed, Shane has been there at the end, if not winning, then finishing very high. Being from Texas, I found it both surprising and exciting that a talent like Shane played in the Texas Open and the Houston Open. He recorded a win and a second place finish. Keep in mind that short races certainly put more chance in the outcome.

I would just like to thank Shane Van Boening for being a great ambassador for the game. Pool could use a lot more like him.

First, I wonder how many American pool players would love to have SVB's future? Or better yet, which of them would not want his talent and potential?

Second, Fatboy hit a home run with this little tid-bit. He can't have a life that revolves only around pool. He deserves to also know the love that a good woman can provide. While he's building his personal relationships, he's most likely receiving lots of tender-loving-care. And he's getting love for something other than being a great pool player, which is super important for him.

I'm real happy for him, and look forward to him winning many, many more matches and titles in the years to come.
 
Seems like he was known for practicing 24/7 before he burst upon the public pool scene. I doubt he's had time to practice the way he'd like to in order to continue to really dominate. And... even if the pro pool world didn't take up so much of his time, he does get to have a life.

No what is not what i was saying is he not snapping off the big tournments.
Money matches i know no one realy wants to match up with him for the cash .

But last time looked Alex p is still up on him 2 to 1.
So i want to see him get back in the form he was in when he was Snapping back to back tournments.

SVB is a very nice person and i feel he is the new Jhonny A of 2000.
I can't give up on one of my favorite players..

The same thing is happening to Shane that happens to all champions.....life. With success comes increased travel and opportunities which all take time and effort. Nothing new under the sun, we have all seen it before. He is great guy who will be a force in pool for as long as he chooses to.

As for people not fearing him....how many players offer U.S. Open champions weight and get turned down ? I know one kid who does.

These type of threads remind me of the Mark Twain quote after a newspaper reported his death:

"The reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated"

Is there anyone in the world that would give SVB a spot, playing a game SVB plays?

DeadPoked is being modest.

Actually, SVB didn't want to play at all. DP offered just to "play play" but SVB refused. Finally he offered to throw SVB a $20 for every game he won. After 12 hours SVB managed just 15 games, mostly when DP hung up the 9...

As you can see, DP is the new SVB!
