I just got to spend a few days around Philly and go to Barry's shop to pick up some of my cues that were sent there. I consider it a privledge to get in the shop and interrupt the master at work, he is a very busy man as you all know. There are some VERY beautiful cues hanging in different stages of completion so some guys are going to be very excited when they are done. We even got a chance to eat some raw fish together. Thanks again Barry.

Look who else showed up!!!

Interesting picture!!!

Those sticks look REAL familiar.

I used to own everyone of them (I think). There was one I'm not sure of.

Randy,

Congrats on all your Szamboti acquisitons and seeing Barry and all.

Did you see mine hanging somewhere by any chance?????

We're spending some time in Philladelphia in March (my daughter attends college there) I would enjoy seeing Barry myself if he's up for it.

Chris

Looks more like his dad every day.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Hello,

Is that long cue on the left the (Lenny Fondini ?) cue? It had initials LF on the butt. If that is the cue Brad Simpson owned years ago, that thing was a big cannon. I remember playing around with it. Supposed to be the biggest cue Gus built I think.

Randy, congrats on your visit with Barry. I talked to Ken night and told me he had the chance make it over and spend time with you guys.

Major congrats on acquiring a world class set of Szams. Well deserved.

Best,
JimmyK

I had a nice time hanging with the boys..
There was a lot of big lumber laying around that day.
Some old favorites I haven't seen in a while.

Mark,
Remember the good ol' days.

Best,
Ken

I had two gus' made for me. 1st one took 9mo & 4 days to get, the 2nd took 4 days short of 11mos to get. I messed the 1st one up in Denver,.. The 2nd, I sold for a car and moved back to Austin. Been since the late 80's with the last szam. I made a pretty good deal on the car, but if I could get it back, I'd trade my towncar straight. across... Easy! DDAAAMMNN, hind site is 20/20. If anyone knows Tom Bourdeon (last seen... Rapid City) and he still has my cue, plz have him post up on this site! I sold it to him in Casper wy. Circa 1986/7. Would love to go meet Barry & share a story or two bout his Dad. Love to have barry's# as well. ... Great post gents. Brought me back! Thanks.... B

As you said Randy, it is a privilege to get into " The Shop "
Great cues as anyone would expect, but more fun being around a true friend and gentlemen!
Thanks for the show.

I was very fortunate to get a great set of cues 22 in all from a great guy who has become a very good friend of mine. I am done buying cues right now until I can rob a bank or hit the lottery. You know Greg I still have one that should go to you. Randy

I don't know who the hanging cues were being made for but there were some VERY nice cues. Yes the only cue Gus made was the 64" Gus made for Mr. Fondini. Barry told me a neat story about it. That big cannon hits remarkably well for its size I was very surprised.

Mine is 60", ivory joint, nice and fat through the handle.
