I've been watching a lot of professional pool via youtube lately. The TAR channel, and a few others have a lot of good stuff that's available on-demand there. Personally I enjoy having the ability to watch matches when it suits my schedule and unfortunately with the streams being in the afternoon or evenings on the weekends I either have to choose to watch live or get out of the house and on a table somewhere. For me that's a no-brainer and is the reason I haven't seen any of the TAR's except for TAR20 (SVB & Earl) because it was posted on youtube. I admittedly felt guilty watching it since it wasn't an "authorized" upload, but not guilty enough to stop I guess. You guys are putting out some great stuff and I'd love the chance to support what you're doing. I'd just like it to be a little more convenient schedule-wise if you know what I mean.
Vimeo just launched a VOD capabiity. I'm in the process of setting ours up now. I should have the first matches ready for viewing by the middle of next week. The service is ala-carte and not a monthly membership but it will allow people to watch our events when they want for a reasonable price.
Pricing will be along the lines of $5 per one day of a TAR match. So if you only want to watch the 8 ball set from TAR 29 its $5 and if you want to watch all three days its $15. You will be able to watch what you buy as many times as as you want for one year. It will average out to around $1 per hour of content.
