TAR match with top female players?

Well, if you want players to provide audio too, I am not sure Bartram is your guy anymore. I think he is not going to talk any shit and I don't think the top Asian ladies talk Merican goodly enough.

It is not BJKing vs. Bobby (whatever his last name was)

Riggs, Bobby Riggs.

I am pretty sure Chris Bartram posted in a thread before saying he would beat any female player gambling and was actively trying to get any of them to play.

That's a hard task. Most of them won't play. They will ask for weight, or just flat refuse to play men. Have personally witness several top 10-15 females turn down action at tournaments where they could easily win more gambling than the local tourney pays!

Screw the TAR money..... If that game happens her side can easily win over a hundred thousand, AND, they can win one of my pinky fingers.

I wouldnt be so sure of it. You think kelly can't run out with the best of them? I know Chris can play but so can she. Anyway if it would ever come to pass I would bet up to 1000 on Kelly.

You can keep your digits :-)

I think you are referring to a thread I started asking who on AZ thought they could beat Yu Ram Cha. As I recall, Bartram was the only person who answered for himself in the affirmative (plenty of guys knew guys blah blah blah). I don't really remember him actively trying to stir up anything, but anytime Bartram makes any claim, I think everybody in the world knows he is completely ready to back up his words in action.

I got first dibs for a few hundo.

So Chris vs. Kelly to 27. Kelly gets what, maybe 4-5 on the wire?

I'm curious what other folks think. I have seen some female pro's, and in 10 ball it's seems they're gonna need a bit of weight. If nothing else the difference in breaking alone is going to be a few games I would think.

Just thinking out loud, I don't see much of an up side for the women, unless they are about 95% sure they can win. There seems to be a lot easier money for them else where...

Would not like to see this as a Tar match.
get a local streamer, play one day , a long session like 12 ahead and bet bet bet. No free rolls. Put some added pressure on the woman.

Btw, I'd be taking Bart, and without a doubt Kelly is the only player that would possibly even think about gambling at this. She's an action player, 99% of the women are not. Jeanette is, but she would know she needs about the 7, playin 10 ball, so that's no help.

Why is everybody wanting this to be a battle of the sexes? I just want to see the top ladies match up in a long race outside a tournament setting. If TAR wouldn't be interested, maybe Accu-Stats could do it at Sandcastles, or Steinway might give it a go? I find it insulting to the women players that no one wants to let these girls shine in the spotlight just like the guys are allowed to do.

The women been on ESPN for years. They are a lot more known then the guys. It's not even close.

The women shine in the spot light every time they play. There is little or no interest in watching two of the girls that have played each other a bunch of times already. The best thing they could do if they REALLY want to shine is beat Chris.

best,

Justin

Do we really need to see Shane matching up with the same guys over and over again?

I wonder, would the gals shine brighter if Jasmin beat Max in a best of three to 200 in 14.1? What do you think her chances are there?

I dont think she has much chance beating Max in any game.

Hes got a far better chance beating a european than an asian...I know that!

If she could, it would really make some waves!

And no, people seem to want to watch new guys step in the box.

The only thing that makes since to me, if you are competing at the level pro's are, is to try and be the best. I would want to beat the best player, whether they were man, women, alien, small dog, doesn't matter. To be the best you have to beat the best. I would imagine that's the point, yes?

The female player vs. male player is just interesting. That's the idea is to capture interest, no? If you can draw in the crowd with some sort of off the wall match, why not do it? I would actually be rooting for Kelly to beat Bart even though I think she will lose. I love to root for the underdog.

Somebody start making some calls, lets get this thing going!!! This would also be a perfect opportunity for that TAR undercard we all want any way. One quick race to 27, Chris B. vs Kelly F.

I'll pay for a match with Shanelle Loraine, only if they will have close up zoom on the camera :)

In fact I think there are no market for women pool players on TAR. I saw few weeks ago a streamed match with 2 women players, a race to 11 match was 3 hours length.

My good friend played Shanelle Loraine this year at the Super Billiards Expo. It did not go well for Shanelle. My friend beat her and went on to finish 5th, losing only to the girl who won the tourney...the #1 amateur from Japan...who played pro speed all day long!!

Just thought I'd share lol.

Chris Bartrum has said he could beat any woman in a TAR match. I think he should play a top woman- maybe Ouschan, Ga Young Kim, Kelly or Alison Fisher, etc. and see what happens. I think such a match up would draw viewers.

Yes it would. I would buy that match. Honestly my money is on Chris with all of them in a long set. I think the Alison of 10 years ago would give him a run for his money, and could win. I doubt any of the others would.
