!! WHAT A BLAST !!
in attendance: KK9, SJM, 336Robin, EZMoney, Majic, Dootysquat, Scott Johnson (AmRot winner)
we met SJM in his Amsterdam jacket, at Gate City Billiards last Sunday, with 8" snow on the ground & sleet in the air. we walked out immediately with 4 people & headed to Breakers, where the other AZBers were waiting. 8 of us, plus additional friends . he drew a crowd….
we had 4 tables running, that Breakers held for us all cause SJM was “in the House”. the boys were playing King of the Hill, while others were playing 9B. SJM shot a-m-a-z-i-n-g-l-y (and I was whistling whenever he& MAJIC bent waaaayy over the table).
we put Russian Magic chalk to the test – compliments of CHICAGORJ. 8 AZBers & not 1 complaint. MAJIC, brought his own MAGIC…. SJM took some home (for his pros in NY), as well as Scott Johnson – Scott (Earl’s protégé) has been in the American Rotation finals for all sessions & played Deschaine for the loss. (he used Kamui – till now).
we all solved ALL of Pool’s problems! :happydance: and we talked about all of yáll….and raised a glass!
we were only missing 3 AZBers: FAT ALBERT & DIOGENES & TIMKRAZYMON. and they totally missed it! apparently there are 2-Degrees of Pool (much like Kevin Bacon)?
after 7 hrs, the sleet was impending & time to call it. SJM & 336ROBIN had an hour’s drive. but before we all left, the drama hit, and some dude collapsed on the floor…. we all banded & some pulled weapons & others were prepped for 911.
336ROBIN gave us a signed copy of his book The Pool Power Shot System. (he’s cool – we LIKE him) SJM did an amazing jump-shot over the 9, to 8, & then finished it again. SJM showed everyone a killer massé shot. i bet SJM $1 on the Open, as well as Mosconi.
it has taken us a week to recouperate & post & we are still talking about it. thank you as always, Stu, for coming & dredging our poorly plowed roads. everyone enjoyed meeting you & hearing your vast stories of pool! it was truly

These three are infact the real deal. I was fortunate enough to get to hang out with all of them in Vegas not long ago. I cant wait to do it again

Stu Sorry I missed you hope to be there next time I was touring Colorado ,Kansas Texas and the Like. I do however know the inside story of why they call Pink lady < Pink Lady but I could only tell you that in person so I look forward to seeing you the next time through town.
