I dont see anything wrong with his selling techniques, hes not saying they are original balabushka cue. theres nothing unusual or wrong about adding a few key words like "rare" or "limited edition". Predator does the same with their limited edition lines. arent these made by Adams? if so, Ive played with one and it was pretty good, both in quality and as a player.

Actually I think there are more "original" Balabushka cues out there than George ever built.

Its a fine line they are treading and I agree with Joe, they would prey on the ignorant who just watched Color of Money and would dive in head first thinking he really bought a Balabushka. The famous "Balabushka Factory" is hysterical. Well at least they are not made in China......LOL. Wait maybe they are.........who knows LOL!

Of course they are, and anyone who buys the replica bushka cues is buying them for that reason alone. What these guys are doing is the easiest way to market these cues. Im just saying the adams ones arent so bad

Nope, made by US cuemakers....and purchased by "experts".

I would agree if there wasnt a $3200 buy it now for a production cue. They are obviously trying to screw someone.

for 3200 you get 4 of those Classics............but wait there's more, call in the next 15 mins and we'll throw in another cue free plus a small handling charge........LOL

if you go the his ebay store there selling for $600 to$ 800 each maybe it was a mistake? a few years ago there was a guy at valley forgre that was making imported balbuskas these were in the same price range 600 to 900 maybe its the same guy or someone taking over his company he had several models they were ok but not anything even close there many cue makers out there today that can build something very close if your looking for one im sure for much less then $3200.00

IMHO just say they are made in Japan. To avoid such confusion, or prevent it. Also the Irving Crane and Hall of Fame lines by Adams are only related to the Bushka line by place of manufacture. Why include Balabushka's name at all??? Of couse we all know the answer to why...

Verl Horn probably built more "original" Balabushka's than George, if you believe all the people that were selling "original" Balabushka's in the early 80's:eek:

Please do not take this statement to mean that Verl ever misrepresented his cues, just many people tried to capitalize on the similarity between his early cues and other classics. The same thing happened to a lot of the early cues that Eddie Farris made that were often misrepresented by nefarious sellers as Southwest cues.

I agree that his marketing techquies are somewhat Trudeau-ish, but at least the auction is for a complete 4 cue series of the Irving Crane cues, not for just one cue. He "hints" at a buy-it-now of just under $2400 which would put each cue just under $600 each which is actually below MSRP on the cues.
