We better stop at first 11 people on list and then have 5 waiting to see if the tournament itself fills up. I won't post any rolls until after everyone has rolled and the tournament is filled up. If tournament doesnt fill, we will split the money 62.5% for first, 37.5% for second (same % as $1000 for first and $600 for second)

I need to do my roll and email it to someone as confirmation. Jimmy-leggs can I use you?

Someone woke me up that, with Paypal, the transaction fee to post is $3.20 x 15 (since I won't need to send myself the $100) so that being said - with a full field:

First $952
Second $600

I'm glad you guys are doing this on your own. I will supply you with an updated list of players asap. I suspect our final players won't enter until they get to the DCC. I hope that isn't a problem for you. I can't be certain we will have a full field of 16 players, but I am fairly confident with eleven advance entries at this point.

I agree with Jay that this tournament will most likely fill up @The DCC. That being said, if you are on the waiting list - I know we all have lives but you will need to keep track if a new player enters the tournament so you can send in your $100 and roll the dice. Again, if you are not paid you will not be involved. I am sure that Jay is going to be real busy at the DCC so I will do my best with my sources to post any new confirmed entrants that I hear of ASAP.

I am @ work and do not have access to my email. I will check for any updates when I get home tonight.

With the wait list and the fact that the last 5 will probably post right before the start, there will undoubtedly be a case where someone cant or doesn't post the money prior to the start of the event. In such a case will that player just be thrown out of the equation with the highest 2 finishers that are drawn determining the winners?

In other words, if 2 of the people on the wait list dont post then 14 people are in the running. If one of the 2 that arent drawn win then the second place finisher gets 1st place money in our pool and so on.

That would seem to be the fairest. To me - posting ensures that everyone is on the same page and everyone understood if they were involved or not. Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the players that the field will fill.

If someone is on the wait list and concerned by this, then I suggest you post the money assuming that the field will fill. Then roll your dice as well. If for some reason, the field doesn't fill you will be refunded your money (minus paypal fees).

You can also give me your phone # and as soon as I/we hear that a player has entered the tournament - I can call you to make sure you are posting your money for this gambling fun.

I think this is the fairest way to do this. I would suggest you get up to 16 people to post their $100, and keep them in order from 1 to 11 and from 12 to 16. These last five will get in as player's enter. If for any reason we are short one or two players, the last people on the list get a refund.

This way if the field is full, you also have 16 people involved and a full purse to pay out. And you don't have to worry about contacting someone at the last minute, or a late or non payment of the $100. All you must do then is let everyone know if they have "action" or not the day the event begins, and who their player is (Jan. 24).
