Hey, what did you expect him to do? Just keep getting robbed by you every day. He saw that you were the better player and was man enough not to ask for a spot. Bottom line Meacher, YOU PLAY TOO GOOD!

It would be fun to get the best players on AZ together for an All Around party and tourney some day. We've got some good ones on here. If we have a Bank Pool Division, I might be able to win a match. :D

Maybe we'll all meet in Colorado, that's kind of central. Do you have some good tables there?

I'd come to this

That's three of us, Island Drive will play for sure. There's so many good players on here. I may start a new thread.

Well guys....just turned 59 a few months ago & have the usual aches & pains but nothing I can't deal with. My back is my worst problem. Had to give up golf after 45 years, and just when I was hoping to retire & be able to play more often. To replace my golf & bought a pool table several months ago & now play with my son (30 yrs. old) about 3-4 times a week. I probably play/practice about 10-12 hours but never for more that 2 hours at a time. Practice is what really kills my back as you spend all your time bending over the table. When I'm playing someone I seem to spend most of my time sitting, watching & resting my back. I can still function pretty well so I'm not even considering surgery at this time. I'll just grin & bear it & thank my lucky starts & can still shot some pool.

I used to have a table 25 years ago but had to give it up when I moved. I read a lot of the posts here & am trying to improve my game. I'd like to find a league in my area to join but no luck so far.

Yeah, I seem to spend most of my time watching, sitting and resting too, but my biggest problem is RACKER's CRAMPS....seems to be a problem that has plagued me most of my pool playing life.....:)

I'm surely not crazy about playing ID anything, but I lived in Colorado for almost 30 years and haven't been back. We were thinking of going up there this summer anyhow.

It might be fun.

Count me in. I'm in Golden, just west of Denver. Have a spiffy home table too, with fully stocked bar.

So we are basically playing for our entry fees only. We might get 16-32 players in each division. I think it should be an annual get together. I'll direct this one for free (and play). No complaints now!

Maybe AZ will even help out somehow. What about it Mike?

I could make it to Colorado - I think it would be a lot of fun. My son lives in Littleton - so its pretty convenient for me. Banks, 8 ball, and 9 ball - that would be a lot of fun!

How about Dominoes? I'm in shape for that?

Just play Bill one pocket and put him in the stack three or four times in a row and he will go off the air, LOL. Worked 30+ years years ago & old habits die hard. John Henderson

Hell, he is so tall he can stand at the break end and reach over the stack.

The only time I saw Bill play 1-pocket was aginst Neal. Bill won and Neal got ever closer to a nervous breakdown.

Is this the Neal that played in Denver in the 80's and went to Las Vegas for a while?

I played a guy named Neal at Colfax Billiards in Denver back then & busted him. I ran into him in Las Vegas a few years later & he kind of recognized me & asked if we had played. I told him yes, we played in Denver. He said "I beat you didn't I? I told him he did and asked to play some more but he was some kind of mechanic in the casino & we never got together. If it is the same guy, he was a pretty good player but he wanted to play golf after I beat him at one pocket. Not a good move. He was a rugged looking farm boy & got in a scuffle with a weight lifter at Colfax when I was in there. John

Neal was the only living human that could sleep (1/2" carpet over cement) on the floor at a hotel 12 - 14 hours straight, amazing. And PLEASE, don't make me practice again...if so we'll make it an 'all around' like Johnston City, I'll bring a CD of Evelyn Wanderone's live interview (I did) of her and fattys life together for over 40 years, pretty interesting. And Hendy, I've finally got patience so, I'm ok behind balls now, but gotta have a Kick Pool tiebreaker:) Or better yet, each player in a hat puts in the game they want to play, top three pics, or better yet, first three pics get played.

You talking about Neal Frakes. He knocked me out of the World Series of Tavern Pool back in the 80's. Very nice guy. We were in the final 32, out of well over a 1,000 players. I won $900! That was real CHEESE back then.

Not the same one Jay. They are talking about Neal Morrison. ID is 100% correct. This guy could sleep 14 hours each day on a bed of nails and swear he never slept 1 hour.

He also had more stories than Readers Digest. I went on a trip with this guy for about 3 months and didn't quit talking to myself for about 2 years.

I can just see John Hendy and their conversation now. Golf would not have been a smart move on Neals part. According to Neal though, he has never been beaten in his life. He is one of a kind.

When Bill beat him playing 1-hole, well, I heard about that until wee hours of the morning. Bill should have beaten him though as he had played a couple of games prior.

Sounds like the guy I played. After we played golf he scrounged up a little more $$ and asked to play a set of golf one handed. That was the move that emptied him out. John Henderson

Born in 1943, on the left coast from '62 to '66, San Diego. Cruisin to Anahiem and back down playing in the Bars. Women everrrrywhere..... Now days play for fun, bad back bad knees, left ankle is backed up with steel, cancer has visited, left hand has arthritis and nerve damage, everything aches at some time during the day and I want a nap by 2pm real bad. Used to play my son a lot till the the wife got peed at me and sold the table. Love the stories in this thread. Jay's thread on a get together is cool, my youngest Brother and my mother live in colorado. I might could get there................

I still liken myself as "I may not be as good as I once was, but, I'm as good once as I ever was"........:D :)

Yep, Neal fancied himself a fair one handed player. Wouldn't play jacked up though, only off the rail.

We made a pretty good score down in Texas with him playing one handed. It was fairly tough, he took it off though. Took about two weeks though.

He is/was one of a kind.
