The Pool Trivia Thread

Sorry, I guess it is my turn to put up a question.., I'm not too good at thinking these up, just finding answers. LOL

From the orginal book by Walter Tevis, The Hustler, what was the name of the Pool Hall where Fast Eddie and Fats played against each other?

"This is Ames, Mister."

I've got a few that will keep everyone busy for a while...

In 1993, Don Mackey and Bob Meucci started a tournament with several teams around the world, it was called World Team Billiards -

Part 1 - who was the title sponsor, and what was the reward for winning the tournament -

Part 2 - (this is a toughie) - multi part question

a) name all the members of Team USA
b) Name all the members of Team Ireland
c) name all the members of Team Phillipines
d) name all the members of Team Hawaii
e) name all the members of Team Puerto Rico

This was team Germany -

Norbert Lang (RIP)
Werner Grewatsch
Ralf Souquet
Tomas Engert
Vadimar Markert

Part 3 - Who won the tournament, who did they beat -

Part 4 - Who knocked Team USA out - and why was it controversial?

Part 5 - Who was the coach of team USA and who was the Captain of Team USA?

Best of luck... these are easy if you know who to ask.

All I know is that the Phillipines won and that they had Efren and Django on their team.

So not a single person on this board knows the only player to win a world nine ball championship and a world snooker championship? This is a pool forum right?

OK This is how it works, somebody starts off with a trivia question related to pool (obviously:) ) and the question must be correctly answered before another question can be posted. Any breach of this rule will result in bad rolls for life. The winner who answers the most questions correctly gets a free Ferrari courtesy of TheOne (sorry Craig:p ).

I'll start us off with an easy one just to get the ball rolling.

Who is the only player to win both a World nine ball championship as well as a World snooker championship?

Ok, I thought that question's answer was Allison, but I see now you are looking for the mens candidate...Steve Davis? I'm stumped!

Uhhh....Dallas West in 3 innings?

Someone else answered most of these. #10 is Dallas West and I believe he won in two innings. He ran a 57 then a 93.

I was trying to keep the questions simple and trivia lke. I didn't think this would take that long to answer. Nice job BRO!

It would be nice if we kept 1 question per post and not throw 50 questions at a time. It is more fun if they are simpler and take just a little time to figure out the answers. JMO
