Gotta admit, the man's good at his work. Everything looks so tidy and perfect.
No seams, no ripples, no stray fibers.
In the pic with the ruler, what are those black facings? Just rubber I assume?

Pocket facings.

The irony of the rail sign with the bottle 2 feet away just kills me

Looks like a killer One Pocket table set up by "The Best" table mechanic ever.

Pockets look triple tough and I agree, when that cloth gets dirty and broken in it will play even tougher.

Once that table breaks in, it has to be one of the toughest in California. Mine are 4" but not at that angle or shelf depth. Glad to see electric blue catching on - I've had it for awhile and like it a lot.

Is that Tournament Blue or Electric Blue. I am color blind but I 'think' Mr. TATE is wrong! (I am color blind but think electric blue is too dark).

He started Saturday, finished Wednesday.

Good lord, that is a ridiculously long time. No wonder nobody hires him to do whole rooms (that I know of).

On a more positive note, I'm glad you're happy with the table. Looks very nice.

It wouldn't have taken so long if he was just recovering the table. He rebuilt the rails entirely in addition to breaking the table down all the way to reinforce the frame. Working around business hours doesn't help either

hmmm... maybe I did get Tournament Blue. They were supposed to get Electric Blue. Below is a pic.

Best wishes Mark, missed you at the Swanee.

The poolroom I play at used a nationally renowned mechanic who operates much more efficiently; he did recovering, leveling, and rails in MUCH much less time. And we're talking about 30 tables. He also charges much less. I have first hand knowledge of the particulars.

To each their own, of course. If you're willing to wait, then that's a personal/business choice. I just can't think of too many poolrooms who want to lose revenue from a table because it's torn down for 5 days, that's all I'm saying.

Great work, thanks for finding something negative.

I don't know of any pool room that would like to be out one table for that long,
and really is it only one table out of service as if there is a table right next to the one that he's working on you probably can't play on that one either.

Good Point.

No problem. Just adding a little realism, since poolrooms are a business. Don't worry, I'll keep it to myself going forward, Forum Police.

By the way, I did say I thought it looked nice earlier. No doubt about that. Wouldn't mind trying it out if I were closer to Chico. But of course We only focus on the negative thing I said, right?

Hard Times is having Glen do their tables. That's right, the ones Ernesto has done since they opened. They want him to do all of them, but his time constraints only allow time for the tournament room for now. He will end up doing all of them in segments though.

No. They're not. He's not doing anything there. The owners told him as much last week. And that's directly from the horse's mouth. If you disagree, PM me and I'll be happy to explain why I know this as a rock solid fact.

RKC only carries 860HR Tour Blue ;) Thats an awesome table! Congratulations! Glen is the best in the business! If I'm ever up north I would love to stop by and play on it. Though I know that table will be tied up at all times :(
