I stopped paying any attention to the shit-show the first thread I made became, and apparently it got closed anyways. Good. The bickering on this site can be down right pathetic sometimes. For anyone who was actually interested in this project and what became of it, I have some photos and stuff.

I got down there tonight, and Glen was just finishing the table up. I mean he was literally screwing down the baskets and drawing the lines. I am actually the first person to play on that table, and I had it all night. The table plays like a dream. Glen told me it is the only Diamond table in California with 4" pockets that he knows of, and there isn't any table in California that plays as well. This is now definitely one of the premier tables in NorCal. Here are some pics that were taken along the way.

Nice!
Those corner pockets are going to be brutal when the cloth gets a little older.

They take balls surprisingly well right now. Glen lined up a 5 ball combo on the rail and shot it past the side pocket at break speed. Ball went in without a bobble. Pockets are tight, but play fair so far. I'll update this assessment in a few weeks when the cloth is broken in lol.

Looks amazing...Nothing better then electric blue. no one says he doesn't do top quality work. He just has no people skills apparently or customer service But then again thats something that's honestly the norm in the pool world lol

OK Baxter, I'll bite. Where is this gem of a table in Northern California? Get to Sacramento several times a year. Usually go to Hard Times or Jointed Cue.

Maybe if the shelves were a little deeper, then yea.

That was my first thought too. I've played on tables with 4.5" pockets with extremely deep shelves that were horrible to pocket balls on as opposed to playing on tables with tighter pockets with shallow shelves, which imo accepted balls easy enough IF you do your part correctly and use proper speed (which is a requirement for ANY table...LOL).

Baxter's table looks like pocketing balls wouldn't be that tough. Of course, the angles of the facings make a difference too.

Nice looking table though!!! I bet that table is already "broken in" pretty good by now...if not, then it won't be very long!!!

Table

Where is this beauty at?

Would love to play some one pocket on it. I have a friend who could stream a match.

Once that table breaks in, it has to be one of the toughest in California. Mine are 4" but not at that angle or shelf depth. Glad to see electric blue catching on - I've had it for awhile and like it a lot.

Oh man that table looks tough. Super well done, but tough.

Thanks for posting.

Gotta admit, the man's good at his work. Everything looks so tidy and perfect.
No seams, no ripples, no stray fibers.
In the pic with the ruler, what are those black facings? Just rubber I assume?

" If I had a Table, it would look like that " ... B. H. Obama

Seriously, that looks awesome. And, I would love to play 14.1 on it.

Is it located in Chico ?

My question too.

I'm in Sacramento often, at the least once a month playing the monthly tournament at hard times.

This table is located at The Downlo in Chico, CA. Chico is about 100 miles north of Sacramento up highway 99, about an hour and 45 minute drive from Hard Times. John, get ahold of Jason and come up and get some action. Jeff can get you in touch with him if you don't know his number. I know Jeff went around telling everyone down there not to come up here, and that the table was a trap, but now he can't say shit.
