To put this in the right perspective this has absolutely nothing to do with posting the money, or not posting the money. There have been many times where I had a choice to post or not post, and I chose to not post for reasons I believe to be right. This has everything to do with right and wrong, and integrity. And it’s sad to say that everyone has a price, everyone.
This is the way it really went down.
Scott and I were partners 50%-50% plain and simple, and everyone in Pool Sharks knew it including Dippy. There was non stop action in Pool Sharks for weeks, due to a poker player/ pool player named Dippy Dave. To refer to the gambling at Pool Sharks during this time as the survival of the fittest is a safe assessment. Dippy knew that Scott and I were partners, he even nicknamed me “Coach” because I was advising Scott, and my rep for matching up well preceded me. So to add a little humor to it he nicknamed me Coach.

Scott and Dippy played against oneanother a countless # of hrs. playing both 9 ball and onepocket, and all the action they had was good action, in every sense of the word. Both Scott and Dippy showed good gambling etiquette through the entire time of the action at Pool Sharks, and Dippy played hard and and played with class, I was really impressed with his ability to stay composed , understanding the adversity that he faced with losing and playing a champion. But that changed the last day of their battle.

The last match they played was Dippy getting the 5, the break, and ball in hand after the break. In addition to that he was getting 3 games on the wire, playing 15 ahead. The bet was 50K a set, Scott was up 2 sets and Dippy wanted to play another set but didn’t have enough cash to pay off if he lost. So he came to ME and said that all he had was 25K and his Rolex. He said that he would pay the 25K and give me his Rolex if he lost, and then we would go to the bank after the set and he would then pay the other 25K. I agreed to the terms and told Scott to play. Now you would have to be brainless to think that I wasn’t involved in the center by me authorizing Dippy’s request and telling Scott to play, wouldn’t you?? Which later on Dippy said that he bet Scott and I wasn’t involved. Oh by the way I also bet Dippy 5K extra on the final set. So they played, Scott was up 14 games and was preparing to play a shot that could win the set for him, Chris Bartrom (a standup class act) a friend of Dippy’s was asked to call the hit.Scott made the 9 ball and Dippy called a bad hit, but Chris called it a good hit (which it was) and Dippy said that he wasn’t going to pay and unscrewed his cue. Dippy and Scott argued their position and Dippy refused to bend, so I interceded and convinced Scott to spot the 9 ball and continue. Dippt won the next 3 games and Scott had a temporary melt down, that’s when he spit on the floor (not at Dippy) and Dippy said that Scott spit at him. Really (bullshit) Well Scotts worst nightmare came to life and Dippy got even and 2 games ahead. Scott battled back and eventually won the set, Dippy left the pool room and said that he would pay after he rested, which he never did.

Scott also bought a SUV from Dippy which Dippy was paid for and was supposed to give him the title, which he never did and kept Scottt’s 10K on top of it and refuses to give Scott anything. Now that’s colder than the 50K stiff.

I'm 66 years old and haven't played 10 hrs of pool in the last year, but I would love to play Dippy and roast his ass. But we have to put up:sorry:

Wow..I take everything back I said about Scott...Dippy Dave is a world class POS..I hope this gets spread around amongst the poker elites in Vegas. Billy is respectable in the pool community and I respect this post!! I guess Dippy Dave mAy think he is rich and have the cash to blow...BUT when it boils down to it he is a POS and is probably boyfriends with Kevin Trudeau???:eek: Thanks for clearing this up Pittsburgh Billy!!

At what point in this story does Dave claim that he paid up? If I remember correctly, Dave said he paid Scott when Billy wasn't around.

Sounds to me like there is still more to this. Scott's side of the story still needs to be heard.

Maybe Dippy would put Keith in. :happydance:
How about it? :D

LOL! Keith has been drooling, with his nostrils wide open, hearing about all this big action, believe me. In fact, he's sick about it, that he's not there in Vegas directing traffic. :grin-square:

Nathan, it's true that there's always three sides to a story, as they say, but nobody -- and I mean nobody -- would even think about attempting to pull the wool over Billy's eyes. He's a seasoned veteran.

Nathan, the truth from Scott's mouth would be the same as Billy and mine, its how it went down unfortunately. Scott does not really read the forums or get online much, I can see why after the way some people post why he does not.

Maybe Dave can chime in here and elaborate on when he supposedly paid Scott then. :)

That would be timely!

This thread makes me feel like I'm hanging out at the pool room in the wee hours of the morning, and right now it's dead, with only a few people in the joint. :o

I can't wait for the rest of the "regulars" to start rolling in later today and read this thread! :grin-square:

What's the over/under that this thread will have 2,000 hits by noon, EST?

Kind a figured. :D
I'll take the over. :thumbup2:

I asked him a couple times in the other thread and he never replied as to who he was with and who Scott was with and when/where it happened? The reason why is because it never happened.

Nathan, trust me Dippy didn't pay the money. I was with Scott when we confronted Dippy about the 50k that was owed, Dippy told me that he paid Scott with Scott sitting next to me. I then put Dippy on the spot and asked him where and what time he paid Scott, he answered "at the Aria Casino" I then asked him what time was it when he paid Scott, he looked at his cell phone and said it was between 3:00 and 3:30. WRONG ANSWER. I was with Scott during that time. Any more questions?

Dippy in my opinion isn't really a bad guy, he just made a mistake and he's being stubborn. But he should stop all this fabrication which is making him look like a worse person.

I still would like to gamble with him. post toasties

I have nothing to do with this but i have one question about this. If you don't want to answer that's cool. But if you confronted him with frost next to you.... why didn't scott jump up and say bullshit? If someone was lying about me to my face i wouldn't just sit there and take it ya know. I understand you guys were trying to get paid but damn if you're getting stiffed anyways at least stand up for what's right ya know?

I woke up at 3 a.m. My 11-year-old black lab needed to go outside, poor fellow. He can't hold it very long anymore. :o

I'm supposed to be working on a job, but I can't tear myself away from the forum this morning. The threads are so interesting to read! :D
