Please read the forum rules in the sticky thread of the Main Forum.

You are entitled to your opinion. You are not entitled to call me an "idiot."

i started this mess, it way to earily for me to be up, I had a strange dream and cant sleep, so......I might as well jump in here, why not?

name calling is weak, I didnt read the post where it happened, but to attack someones charcter based on their opinion in an open discussion is bad. I cant spell, its a handicapp and I'm to lazy to use a spell checker-I have alot of posts on alot of boards over 10 years and only once in a while does someone who dosent know me say something about it, and then they learn to accept me for better or worse. thats a adult way of dealing with things not name calling.

i just think that if you dont agree with someone, find a more compelling argument and win with and thats that, Cincyguy has been doing that for along time and were still friends, even he dosent call me names, he never REP's me back but thats ok, he'll come around someday.

cheers,

This is a shame, Phoenix has come a long way in the past 12 months as far as Pro attention goes. I fear that all this could give Phoenix a stigma and make it hard to have any more Pro events here without having to pay the players before they get here and then hope they give the $$ back if they don't make it to the $$.

You must check your rep 24/7. How quickly you discovered the red rep, in less than 60 seconds after I gave it. Maybe it is you that should grow up and get a life. Go stuff your beak with a fast-food hamburger and play Internet poker, you know, what you do every day between 9:00 and 5:00, your job. Most people have skills and can obtain "real" jobs.

That's pretty funny coming from someone who's boy friend has never had a "real" job. Seems like this might be the type of guy you go for JAM.

If your girlfriend has a "real" job - does that exclude you from the above attempt to insult?

Again, I think if a TD can get $2500 or more then more power to them. Jay understands I was not making a comment towards him.

You would be amazed at what the tournament directors at the World Series of Poker make. Just for the main event, I figured out 2 years ago, the main directors make over $13K a piece - and that is before the tip out by the players. This pay for the directors is taken directly from the player entrees. And is scaled down for the other helpers of the event. And this is just for the Main Event - there are how many events during the month of WSOP now - 33 or something like that?

Uh, I don't have a girlfriend, Watchez. I am a girl.

Aren't the entry fees like $10K or something crazy like that? Do you think pool players will ever be willing to spend that much on entry?

Its always the same, people hear that someone makes $$$ doing some job and they go , oh hell I'd do that job for alot less, that guy is overpaid!

More power to you Jay, the surest signs of success is when people are envious of your ability to command a respectable salary. The other surest sign of success is getting sued for a huge amt of $ but maybe you dont want that much success :-)

My boyfriend is a professional pool player. In fact, he is an American legend.

In case you haven't noticed, AzBilliards is a pool forum. So you can try to bash my boyfriend all you want, but he's got more pool in his soul than most. He is an American pool icon. Don't believe me? Check him out next tournament he attends, and watch the people draw near. Most people in the pool culture know and love Keith McCready. They don't make comments like the one you just made. They appreciate him for what he is, a pool champion.

As far as the type of guy I go for, if you're trying to flame me, it won't work. I'm pretty secure with my accomplishments in life. I don't need to brag about them, but I'm doing okay. :)

Next?

I may admire the job that Jay does as a tournament director but I sure as hell am not envious of how much money he makes doing it.

WT*? He can't even collect the money he's been promised for a job well done.

lol, I agree with this uwate. I am grossly overpaid and I know it. I make 6 figures for goofing around all day. I'm very good at it though. Also, a degree in Econ. from UGA means absolutely nothing when looking for a job, just in case anyone was thinking of getting one.

Sorry to hear that you and Keith broke up. At least then you don't have to be ashamed of being with someone that does not have a 'real' job & plays internet poker all day. Not sure about Keith's diet.

I wouldnt worry about that, people are smart enough to know it was a peoson who hasnt made good on ONE event yet.

With everything you have done and will do in the future. Phoenix will be just fine. The trick is to do something sooner than later to get everyones minds off the last disaster and keep it well known it was just one person.

Keith's diet is doing just fine. Thanks for asking!

Well, I am going to Alburquerque at the end of the month it looks like for a pool school and exhibition. I have just a couple of things to work out before I begin the marketing one of the things I have to work out is making sure that the players money is there. We also have a few others that are confirmed and in, so I think after NM we will be waiting a couple of weeks then it looks like The Bay Area, Sacramento, San Diego, Austin and Oregon. So I think I will be keeping a couple of guys busy for a little bit and then look at Phoenix again. I am not sure if they are pooled out since all the action we have had over the past few months. Oh I will be in Vegas too on the 11th.
