They say Dechaine Dumped, come defend yourself.

He doesn't need to acknowledge it, much less address it. In fact, 'as your attorney, I advise you...'.

I didn't mean address the dumping, so much as I'd like to hear his thought's of his play, and why he ran out of gas. He shot gunned out of there fast. Mike has been pretty open book thus far about some of his thoughts. I like to hear the thought processes of the top level players. Help keep myself from making the same mistakes.

Another bull sh!t thread.

This is what's wrong with pool in America.

Or at least what's wrong with AZ Billiards. Where does the OP get off holding Mike accountable to him or this forum? Especially with some random and off the wall accusation like this?

Thanks

Kevin

Really?? GAY?? How very PC. How in anyway is saying the term Driver Seat gay?? Wow :nono:

Hi. My name is Justin. I don't do PC very well. If something being "gay" offends your delicate sensibilities that is your issue not mine.

Truth is that Dechaine got his nuts shot off by Earl. No one can fade Earl when he gets rolling like that. I'm not the World's biggest Dechaine fan but he did not dump. I watched it. When Earl gets rolling there's nothing you can do but shoot back or try some moves. All of the sudden you are down 5-1 then you get a shot and so you slow play, take a break, check the rack, start an argument, etc. All that's good but your down 5-1 and if at the end of any moves you try to play if you don't get out you will be down 8-2 in about 17 more minutes.

Only person today that can free wheel with Earl is CHIP COMPTON.

Yeah, I said it, Chippy is more naturally talented that Earl.

I can tell you this, Chip would shoot Dechaine's nuts off faster than Earl did...

Chip bets his own and will get up and play. Dechaine doesn't have the gamble in him like Chip does.

I don't think for one second that Mike dumped. I do think he had a bad set and you can't have a bad set against Earl.

Congrats to Earl

and congrats to Mike for a first and second place finish in the last two weeks.

I think 'gay' applies to the TV 4-ball also.

preposterous

...I agree with those who view with disgust at the premise of this thread;
very weak attempt at stirring up crap.....and expecting MD to respond is even weaker......

On a positive note, I am glad to see that Earl can still put on such displays of his skill and talent......He used to do it to people like Mizerak, Hall, Varner, and other top pros......running many racks, controlling the table and match, and keeping the opponent in his seat and mostly watching until the end.....

this match can be arranged on the other end I'm sure of it.

Guess People should read my post, carefully

There's no way Mike dumped and for some bozo on a forum to claim it because he heard it from some other bozo in a chat room who was sitting around in his underwear sucking down Coors Lights is unconscionable. Earl caught a gear and was doing his bazooka show where he one-strokes balls and runs sub-60-second racks. That has to be dispiriting, even to someone as gifted as Mike. Also, Earl opened his acceptance speech by saying, "Well, I'm really not in top form now." How would you like to hear that when you just got shellacked by the guy? Give Mike a break. Earl played great, Mike played less great. It happens. They're humans.

Maybe you should read my OP

"Why is it that nobody can defeat anyone? There is always an excuse. Earl just crushed Dechaine, and the first thing people start typing is DUMP. Come on people. He has a pretty damn big ego, do you really think he would dump to Earl. He wants to be considered the best in the world. Did you see the way he was acting in his chair when Earl made shots? How he ran out of the building? No Dumping just an old fashioned ass kicking.

This thought just came to mind. Who would have thought the talk would be about anyone but Earl? Earl was well behaved on the stream even when he got his butt kicked in the Driver's seat match.
"

I defended Mike, I did not say he dumped. I gave credit to Earl.

Wow, I didn't see where anyone said Earl dumped in this whole thread, for that matter no one said Mike dumped, including the OP.
He the (OP) was just saying people are saying this Mike tell them their wrong, I my opinion.
I agree it would have helped if the wording was a little better, LOL.

He never said he thought either dumped, and I agree on this.

But when you have two players in a match, lets call them player A and player B. Lets go with the thinking that everyone knows that player A never dumps, on that everyone agrees.

That has no barring on weather player B dumps, what so ever. Play B could have friends bet on player A, at the event or on the internet. It would be especially easy to do if player A, was thought to be the under dog in the match. Then player B just doesn't bring it. Dump complete.

For those saying that Earl never dumps so Mike couldn't have that's a misconception, I don't personally believe Mike did any business though.

AGAIN for those that don't read whole posts, I am not saying, and do not think that Mike Dechaine or Earl Strickland dumped.

I think Earl simply out played Mike. Congrats to both!!!

That is a really small door. Guess it helps keep in the ether fumes?

"The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon. "

I did NOT dump. I never would do something like that. Like this guy said, my ego is way to big for that. There were three things that I didn't like that went on in the match. Earl played on that table 8 times over the past two days and I played on it twice. The balls played like mud. And lastly, I played TWO matches yesterday. One at 2pm and the other at 7:30 or close to it. Thats just crazy to me, but still a great tournament and in memory of a legend. Thanks Tony.

There was never a doubt.... It's all about the idiots on the live streams and they know who they are... Or maybe they don't or they wouldn't be saying any of the crap that seems to fall out of their mouths.....

This is right up there with the Mika/Appleton challenge match in NJ where the same morons were saying they had to be playing for something for them to actually try....

This is simply a case of NITS being NITS.... They have no clue what it takes to be a champion or even win a tournament unless it's a handicapped event and they have sandbagged...... Pride and Ego among other things are in any champion's driver's seat.....

We all know these guys... Why would you even bother to listen to one of them would be beyond my understanding......

thanks for getting the OP
