Burn all jump cues

Anyone that has studied psychology or is a con artist knows that when most people get conned they, A) don’t say anything because they’re embarrassed. B) Tell everyone what a great deal it is and how much it has helped them, even though they know they got taken. C) It is like a placebo to them. They are focusing more because they want it to work in the worst way, when all they had to do in the first place was focus more. Johnnyt

I don't know what you're talking about, but I think you meant "Psychology" not "Physiology".

my Physiologist keeps jamming my shoulder with Cortisone in huemungus needles! :) but it's helping!

Hey, whatever it takes to force you to stay focused is fine by me. CTE, TOI, or ETS< my system :) Edge To Section.

I bought both of Stan's DVDs. Still don't quite "get it" but do you know what? I am proud to support what he's doing for pool. Very few folks have contributed as much to our sport in their lifetime as Mr. Shuffet and if he comes out with another DVD I'm going to buy it too. I guess that's my "excuse" for being "conned" with my eyes wide open.

I'm guessing he is referring to CTE based aiming system users.

Not necessarily, could be the monster hitting cues for sale on here, or the super-duper chalk, or the best tips ever invented, ect. ect.

Never known Johnny to not have the guts to say what he means, but he sure did leave this post ambiguous, didn't he? Guess we won't know until tomorrow at least because it was his last thought for the day.

Tis a shame to have the last thought of the day at 8:27 am. What do you do for the rest of the day?

I did not mean anyone thing in particular. I'm just saying a lot of the new stuff pushed on here is not going to make many one ball or two better. Even outside of pool almost every new thing is a con. As far as guts to say what I mean, I don't believe in Perfect Aim or any of the new aiming systems out there. I didn't buy CTE, but what I do know is the few that work to get you lined up with center pocket will only work with a good straight stroke and they ain't for sale yet. When you have to put spin on a shot you still need to use judgment=FEEL. Want to really get better at pool? Buy Mark Wilson's book and work it. Johnnyt

The one item you bought you give praise to... that sounds like some of that "physiology" you thought about.

Thanks for being clearer. I knew that if I said that, you would clarify what you meant.:D

Oh, a straight stroke is for sale now, through instructors and Marks book. ;)

I will state that CTE, 90/90, and the SEE aiming systems, after having studied them, do indeed do what they claim. However, many other claims I read on here, are total bunk.

Oh please. I've bought at least 10 dvd's and at least that many books and systems in the last 7 or so years on here. I've also bought many books before that over the years. I've given good reviews on MR (right after it came out). One of the first on here to buy Ridgeback rails and gave a good review on them several times. I've probably had 30 Valley owners PM me thanking me after they bought them. Over FN out. Johnnyt

It was a joke big guy. I know Mark's book is not a scam but it is funny to see you praise a product, and now multiple products, in this thread.

I thought I knew what specific product he was thinking of, but I guess I was making TOo much of an Inference.

The song Tin Man by America comes to mind. "Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have"

The placebo affect is much more prevalent in golf which is easy to understand given the size of that market. Mark Wilson's book is the best instructional material I've ever read for any sport. Absolutely outstanding! I'm a big believer in CTE/Pro One because I have first hand experience that it works as advertised. I don't see how it could be described as a placebo because most players seem to struggle understanding it initially or fail to accept that it doesn't cure a crooked stroke. The SEE materials are also very well done and I believe that system can be effective if practiced.

Yea that song makes total sense.

Can I get directions to the tropic of Sir Galahad please?

So then I pocketed the 9 ball.

Never said the placebo affect for CTE/Pro. I said it gets you to the pocket if you have a perfect straight stroke and if you need spin you need to do other things to make the ball and get where you want to go. Johnnyt
