Perhaps its just the forced perspective of the camera lens, but those middle tables look really close together. But overall the room looks great!

It looks close because there is 7 feet end to end:)
7 footers are 6 feet apart.

This to me is a little slice of what most define as "heaven on earth".

Gorgeous Room. To gather the resources and wherewithal to pull it all together is quite the accomplishment. A true asset to the American pool scene.

I am curious what customer base you want to attract.

With 36 7-foot Diamonds I would be tempted to say 'League Players".

Are all the tables on time? Any coin-op tables?

Are you going to be your own League Operator, or hire someone to do the job? I would hate to see some ordinary League Operator (with no financial interest in the room where the league plays) having control of when and where teams play.

Kudos for a great pool room, and I hope if you are after league teams you get control over the league operations, rather than let someone else walk away with the team money each week.

I should be there both days 6-6 at least.
Looking forward to seeing you.

The intention of this room is a new concept.
16 nine foot can hold about any pro event.
The 7 foot tables gives me the option to hold many regional and amateur events.

All leagues will be invited to play. We will offer in-house cash leagues also.
Tournaments are what this room is designed for with ample seating for all team events.
We will also run our own tournaments on 7&9 foot tables.
Monthly tournaments will be money added in-house on both 7&9.
8 ball, 9 ball,10 ball,one pocket and straight pool all in-house.
Team challenge's from region to region.
With this size room I can do leagues, tournaments and public play all at the same time.
I have options no one else has.
All 7 foot tables are smart tables. Most will be on time play.
We are classified as a Resturant with games so under age can play also. We will be doing a lot with Junior leagues.
Most pool room owners do not recognize the fact that you have to grow your own clientele.
A proven fact for me as my last room operated 25 years.
Also our location is zoned for 24 hr operations.
Friday and Saturday we will operate 24 hrs a day.
Table rates have to be competitive.
We will offer first class room at budget rates.
$4 hr for one player $8 for two or more.
We have a kitchen with a great kitchen manager and a world class bar in separate rooms so you don't have to be a player to visit us.
I have a dream...I'm building it and I'm betting they will come.

If I lived near there I'd be there every day. Wish someone would open any kind of new room here on the north side of Indy even if it wasn't as extravagant as this. Best of luck to you.

Wonderful dream you have there, and I can see the regulars lining up already.

I'd like to see someone establish a pool program under the auspices of the 4H organization, which promotes student 'learning by doing', under adult supervision. I coached a 4H youth program for a couple of years, and it was a wonderful experience. I've since hoped someone would open a pool room locally, so I could try to develop young pool players.

I'm sure there might be challenges to overcome. Some might think pool halls are stuck in the old days of smoke and drink and hustling. Smoking would be out, a temporary alcohol free area could be cordoned off during the program time, and the era of the hustler is long gone.

If you find the time, or better yet find an adult volunteer to get the ball rolling, I would encourage you to look into starting a 4H youth billiards program. The 4H national or state website would be the place to contact.

The potential new customer base is huge, and 4H participants normally pay their own way for site fees and equipment, though some clubs such as gun clubs might provide loaner gear due to the high cost of target-grade rifles and air rifles. In Texas, 600,000 students per year participate in 4H activities of some sort, from short one-offs to season-long programs that meet weekly. In our small county of 30,000 people, we would start the season with about 30 students, all signed up by the county 4H administrators who advertised at the start of each school year to get 4H members to join or renew for the year. For us, after a settling-in period of a month to six weeks, a final core of 20-25 students would stay for the rest of the season. The important thing for a busy pool hall owner is that the county 4H professionals are paid by the state to get a 4H student base signed up each year, and interest them in joining one or more of the many 4H programs available. Then they turn the students over to the adult volunteer(s) who actually run the learning program.

Developing a 4H pool program would be a great way to start a customer base at a young age while providing a fine community service, giving students a safe after school or weekend activity under adult supervision. 4H students, who are grouped by age into Junior 9-10, Intermediate 11-13 and Senior 14-19, usually stay with 4H programs for as long as the program holds their interest, often 6-8 years. Some use the skills learned to obtain college scholarships. All in all, a great way for any business to support their community youth.
