To Mike Cochran

One of the best guys around

I had the life time opportunity to meet Mike this summer when I visited their shop when working in the area. Mike was a great guy! He showed me some of his cues that he has been working on and we shared stories and I have never met such a more humble individual. This is a shock by far and I can only wish blessings upon his family and wife at this time. Please pray for his family as they will need much strength.

i am so saddened by this news

just heard ...

my prayers and sincere condolences go out to the family.

he was beyond generous...

i had dinner with him and tony sciannella when i was in baltimore last and it was such a great evening... vodka, pool, great food and ample laughter...

i will always think of him fondly and treasure the cue he let me have...his own.

Man, a heart attack. Shows how quickly things can change and how important it is to try to maximize the time we have here. You never really know when your number will be called.

By all accounts he was a good man and will be missed. I wish his surviving family all the best and all the best to them through an extremely sad time.
 
That really sucks. My condolences for his family.
I got to talk to him about a month, a month and half ago to have a butt cap of Scruggs replaced and he was the coolest guy.
Darn.... RIP Mike.
 
I'm shocked as I spoke to him last week asking about TS sneaky petes. He was very nice and patient in answering my questions. What exactly happened? My sincere condolences to his friends and his family.

Sad day without a doubt. Mike, and Tim for that matter, have a well known reputation for being some of the best guys in billiards.

Hope nothing but the best for Mike's Family.
 
My deepest condolences to Mike's family. Never had a chance to meet him, but heard nothing but great things about him. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
 
I am so sorry to hear this, I spoke with him back in early December and he was extremely helpful and fun to chat about cues with. God rest his soul and concolences to his family in this time of grief.

I remember when Mike first started to work for Tim and he was just a great guy to meet. He would always crack jokes and talked about his family,his younger son broke his leg about a month ago and his older son broke his collar bone about two months ago and with all that he was worried about his brother who just found out he had cancer. He would do a favor for anybody.Mike was 52 years old ,had a heart attack about 3:30am Friday .May you rest in peace Mike and my prayers are with your family. Tim loved Mike like a son. Let us all keep Mike and his family in our prayers.

I am shocked to hear this. Very, very sad.

Mike was a true gentleman. I only knew him for the last couple of years, but for me he was one of those guys that you just hit it off with right away. I'll always treasure those few times I got to hang out with Mike in the shop.

Wow! Talk about a shocker! I certainly was not expecting to see this thread when I signed on today. I exchanged emails with Mike a few times and it was always a pleasure. My sincere condolences to Connie and the rest of his family and friends. RIP Mike!

My sincere condolences to Mike's family and friends. He was a true friend of mine for more then twenty years. I am so sorry to hear this. He built me many
cues. Had me at his house several times. Always made me feel at home. When
I came to town Mike, Tim, some friends and I. Always went out to eat. Then
to the pool room. Rest in peace my friend.

I want to send my condolences to Mike's family. A great guy and great cue maker. He will be missed by all. Also my sympathy to Tim Scruggs who will miss Mike dearly.
