Tony Vs Dennis Chit Chat Thread

Thanks POV...

Today's action was some of the best one pocket I have ever seen. There was a little bit of everything -- the pace was normal and a blast to watch.

Congrats to both players for a great performance.

I know there have been better matches...ive just never seen one. That was the most awesome match Ive ever seen period. Congrats to Tony for real

Tap tap tap....

Hooray for T-REX!!!!! So happy he did it!!! So many doubters said he had no chance against Robocop!! I love it! What a display of one-pocket play; this was a classic.....and we got to see it for FREE.....A million thanks to Daniel Busch of POV pool....

+1.........

Td

It's gonna be awful tough to watch the next 10-ball tournament......
....call shot with the option....
It'll look like paint by numbers after this....
...we need more one pocket.....thanx again, Daniel.

Thanks to everyone for posting updates. I was on the road and unable to watch. Obviously picked a bad day to miss!

A huge thanks to POV pool for the free stream! What an amazing match. Honestly, after the last 2 days, I thought Dennis had the momentum and would win by a few games today. That shot that Tony made at 38-38 to get out of the trap was incredible. I'm not a one pocket player, but that sure looked like a damn near impossible trap to get out of to me. Dennis's balls were staring at his pockets and they seemed to be headed that way very soon. I was really hoping for hill hill there at the end, but considering we got to watch 78 out of a possible 79 games, that was literally about as good as it gets!

Tony said this wasn't about the money....he just wanted to win.....
....and that's the bottom line on all great players.

Unreal Match and comeback for Dennis. Just came up a few short. 4 days of 1 hole lessons and pure pool enjoyment. No disappointment, pure class from Tony.

Have a good weekend all,

-Kat,

Wow! What a match! A big thanks to Daniel at POV Pool for streaming this for all us pool junkies to watch!

Best thing that has happened in pool for years just concluded! Congratulations to Tony & Dennis for putting on one of the best matchup I have ever seen. Absolutely fantastic event!!!!

A great match between two great players! Tony deserved to win; he was creative and fearless from beginning to end. He found shots where it looked like there was nothing and he kicked balls from every angle imaginable. To his credit Dennis never gave up and fought to the last ball.

The other winner was the game of One Pocket. I think many people developed a new appreciation for the intrcacies of this game. Thanks to all concerned for making this epic match happen. It will be a tough act to follow!

For the 2017 and 2016 Accu-Stats Make-It-Happen One Pocket Invitationals, combined, the breaker won 63% (101 of 161) of the games in the round-robin play.

And tonight, Day 4 of the event, the breaker won 12 of the 19 games played = 63%.

[I don't have the info for the other days.]

Great match, awesome job by POVPOOL, we're lucky people still care enough about the game to give us a match like this.

Go Norcal....Tony might not live here anymore but Tony, Amar Kang, and Billy Palmer have been getting our area respect for many years and they are all great players and just really cool guys if you get the chance to meet them.

Tony Chohan and Dennis Orcullo both got hearts the size of grand pianos...
....now i can picture TRex carrying that big of a heart....
....but how the hell does Dennis do it?

Respect....:bow-down::bow-down::bow-down:

I can't wait for the rematch.
Dennis should have stayed closer on the first day.

Congrats to Tony.

Many thanks to POVPOOL team especially to Daniel Busch. A lot of fans here in the Philippines were able to watch it. I had to wake up 6am the last 4 days to be able to watch this, and continue watching in the office. It was worth it.
1-Pocket is indeed a completely different game which requires a completely different set of skills. I've never seen anyone play 1P here in our country. Since this match started, I've learned a lot from Tony and without a doubt he deserved to win it all. And although it's sad because i was cheering for Dennis, i have to congratulate him for fighting really hard, to the last rack. im sure he's learned a lot from this as well.

That was a great match, especially the last day. Glad a got to watch bits and pieces of it everyday! Thanks POV, Dennis and Tony!
