Tonya Harding - The Pool Player

Last night just before the start of the Olympics closing ceremonies they aired a special to do with Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan, the whole metal pipe to the knee drama.

What a quadruplet of knuckleheads there were in the Harding camp, including Tonya herself, her ex husband, the security guard and the pipe wielding nit-wit.

At one point in the show someone trying to paint just what a mess Tonya was said 'c'mon, look at her, she drinks she smokes and she plays pool.'

they showed a few short clips of her hitting some balls. Decent open bridge and form but needs to lower the butt end of her cue quite a bit toward level. :grin-square:

don't know about combos but holy crap, she sure could hit those triples! :thumbup: :wink:

When I saw her face, it's exactly something I didn't EVEN care to watch. I was more surprised how the media/Lambs follow her, as they seem to have NO clue as to what is Important in life. Media is the biggest sucker.

My takeaway message is: NEVER get a pool table with an obnoxious Harley Davidson logo in the middle of it!

Also saw that one. I was pretty offended that they seemed to associate billiards as something only low life's participate in. Guess I won't watch any more of the Olympics... but I'd like to play the person who scripted that story in race to 7 at any pool game of their choosing with 10,000 of their money in the pot. Harding however could probably beat me because just as I was about to drop the last ball on a run... I'd probably get a lead pipe to the knees.
That being said... I have nothing against Harleys (I've ridden most all of my life)... but real shooters usually don't have such banners plastered all over their cloths.

Interesting... how is it that a journalist who's stereotypically trashing pool is "liberal"? How did politics sneak in there?

To me, that would be more of a right-wing extremist thing -- especially if religion is injected. But it's probably neither. Just an uninformed / easily-biased journalist; that's all.

The reporter reported what Tonya was doing. I guess the media should have lied so as not to impinge pool's spotless reputation.

True enough. I imagine if you just came out of your office from looking at your stack unpaid bills, looked across your near-empty room and up walked a patron who wanted to complain about the price you were charging for water, the contempt could develop.

I will say, it is absolutely no way to be in a people business.

She did skate. She was the only one that did NO jail time But I still think she wsa involved.

She was not the favorite to win. And Tonya not only knew what gold would do for her, she told others as well. The gold medal would make her a star and a rich one at that. If only somehow Nancy did not make it to the Olympics that year

Plus, her boyfirend/husband ratted her out ... the whole thing was so deranged it's hard to imagine folks being this stupid in real life

Of course, Tonya is one of the host's on a TV show called " World's Dumbest", it's on TruTV. And it shows videos of stupid folks around the globe I guess they are not all in the USA Pretty good show. The hosts' are Danny Banaduce (Partridge Family) , Todd Bridges (Different Strokes), Lief Garret (former pop idol) and a few comedicans mixed in.
