Top 10 sweetest strokes of all time

only from the players I have seen play, I would say Buddy Hall #1.

Of the young guns, I like John Morra's stroke the best.

lizard's stroke

I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Billiard Palace on I think 21st street? Before that legendary place closed down/moved (?). A guy I was playing asked the same question, "who has the most beautiful stroke of all time"...... without hesitation a group of regulars, hustlers, and old-timers said, simultaneously, "lizard!," and then looked at each other. They surprised each other with their unanimity. Anyone got a video of his stroke?

Efren Reyes' stroke and WHY....

When at Shooters/ Olathe Kansas, a killer action room in the middle of the country, the only table available was next to the table where Reyes was practicing so I grabbed it. I didn't even practice or play, just paid table time to study his stroke. He was practicing draw shots along the rail into small pockets with as much draw and speed as he could smoothly achieve. I am fully confident I will never be more impressed with a stroke and here's the reason WHY.... a reason that has not been mentioned in anything I have seen posted or heard discussed....
When you know that you are about to be amazed, mesmerized.... when you have the feeling you know what the result will be, then the anticipation will add to the impression. So Grady Matthews and my fellow judges, ask yourself this... could I possibly be correct putting Efren over all others for sweetest stroke? I feel my argument is solid. So do me a solid and consider the impression that end results make... and understand why I would trade everything to play like him

1. Buddy Hall
2. Mizerak
3. Earl
4. Jimmy Moore
5 Kim Davenport
6. Bustamante
7. Efren
8. Parica
9. Mike Coltrain ( if you didn't see him in the early 90's, you missed out )
10. Archer

IMO, the ten are;

10] Jay Swanson
9] Gary Pinkowski
8] Richie "MR 9-BALL" Ambrose
7] Jimmy Reid
6] Tommy Brown
5] Jeff Carter
4] Johnny Ervolino
3] Toby Sweet
2] Buddy Hall
1] Steve Mizerak

Great list, but Mizerak is #1 in my books. Also, the omission of Jack Colavita from the top ten is, in my view, inappropriate.

Stu
My original list had both Pat Fleming and Jack Colavita.

BOTH are definitely in my top 12.

The sweetest strokes in pool

Well I haven't seen some of the old timers, but the players that always mesmerized me with their "poetry in motion" strokes while they played were:

1# Buddy Hall
2#David Matlock
3#Brian Atchley
4#Mike Sigel
5#Antonio Lenning
6#Efren Reyes
7#Louie Roberts
8#Jack Hynes
9#Walter Glass
10#Calvin Harcrow

the top three are my favorite, the rest are in no paticular order, there have been so many players with beautiful strokes and ball control,...to each his own.

David Harcrow

I love these old TV matches. One more distraction:

Moore lines up a crucial and difficult shot...

...and drills it.

The crowd goes wild.

Crane congratulates Moore on a shot well played.
