Sounds like a post based hearsay of my qoute" steller" reputation as if he and I have ever conducted $1 of business

hey phil, you're the one who posted this thread asking for opinions. or are you just asking for opinions from people who have done business with you in the past?

as i said before, if you were a good guy, you'd give the guy his money back.

edit - btw, reputation is normally defined on hearsay as well as experience.

Hey IL even make it easy on you give me 75% from what i paid for it
That wood be more the fair IMO
And i will ship it out tomorrow to you

Just my 2 cents.....the way I read it is .....Sugartree Dowels....not Sugartree shafts........thats just me though

The dates are confusing......

....and I can see where you may have gotten confused based upon the wording in the Title :(

I don't know what would be fair to both parties -- It sounds like the shafts are solid -- maybe a partial refund would make for an acceptable resolution to this misunderstanding!?

Best of luck guys! I know you are all good folks here on AZ :duck:

so if i found balabushka shaft dowels in a basement and had them finished by a local unknown cue maker and sold them as balabushka shafts how many would you buy?

I saying that based on what you put in writing that your opinion is biased

LMAO!! arguing on the internet is like mud wrestling with pigs. you get filthy and the pig likes it.

i have also asked phil who made the shafts? i havent received a response yet. i could have aaron painter shafts for all i know lol.

When I see dates written it is usualy DD/MM/YYYY or day, month, year
7/12 being the 7th day of the 12th month

I see that Phil continues to build upon his stellar reputation with yet another honest and forthright deal.

Why anybody continues to deal with this guy is beyond me.

If so, Aaron could make me shafts anytime!
They are from -R-, with a stiff Searing type taper, by the way -R- has like 40yrs experience

id also like to add that these shafts were not purchased in 2007. according to the feedback left in i trader by phil it was late march 2008.

you can run all posts by me if you like. i can guarantee you that items will be listed accurately and that a deal isnt complete until the buyer is satisfied. those are my standards. this way you can avoid certain fans of yours on az lol.

I think that the person who actually turned the shafts should have been mentioned in th original post. However, since the recieving parties seem to be happy with the quality of the shafts, I don't think a refund is do. Personally, I probably would just avoid doing business with the seller in general for future instances.

I do think the original seller does owe it to the buyer to provide some sort of authentication that they were indeed sugartree dowels, and turned down by -r-... just so future misrepresentation of the shafts can be avoided. JMHO... you win some you lose some.

I do think the seller should have been upfront about who turned the dowels, I think that would have been the respectful and honest thing to do... to describe your merchandise as accurately as possible. and i certainly wouldn't buy him any beers in the future.

Now thats funny. You'd know if they were.

I think partial refund. Who made them and what is their shaft value.

i know exactly who -r- is sir. why wasnt that included in the description?

i ASSUME you bought the finished shafts. if that's the case i can see the verbiage in the add being more ambiguous than if you would have bought dowels. i also agree that the add should have been worded as "SUGARTREE DOWELS completed by X". It wasn't and it would appear that we've learned to carefully read panhdlce's adds.

It's up to panhdlce to decide if he has a MORAL responsibility to satisfy you.

Once again, we'll watch and learn...

Do the Right Thing

Listing only Sugartree in relation to the shafts was misleading at best and larcenous at the worst. Do the right thing and give the money back. Just because someone took your bait doesn't make it right.
