Jay Helfert and I are working on a project together, I mentioned it in a post today or yesterday. We need to do some reasearch and I'm going to post some polls here from time to time, that will give us some insight on pool, players, bangers, etc. Were working with another party who has deep pockets and is very interested in pool because of the success poker on TV. They see a cross over in the demographics. The last project they did had a $21,000,000 budget. So these guys are the real deal, this isnt about making $$$ its about promoting the publics interest in pool and getting more people to want to learn to play, Like The Color of Money did after that movie the pool rooms got busy with alot of new yet to be players, hobbiests etc. This isnt a tournment thing the people were going to involve dont have to be champions. If it becomes a real thing then I can go into details, and will.

What we need now is the most parcipation(SP?) possible on the polls I post over the next month, please get involved, some poll results will create another poll, the information we get is cruial to the success of the project. I'm going to be in Germany for medical reasons and will have the time to put them up and document everything from them, so again please be honest and vote when you see them,

If the project fails then I will tell everyone what the plan was, this could be the best thing for pool sine the movie 20 years ago, and we all know pool as a whole needs it.

Don't be put off by the poor spelling on Fatboy's posts. He is actually a very astute businessman, who has achieved enviable success at his chosen endeavors.

I am glad to be working with him. And best of all, he thinks he can play :).

Fatboy, use MS Word to create your post, it has a spell checker. :) Ones you're done, copy and then paste when posting. When this thing fly, hire a secretary to do it for you. Hell, a whole PR Team. :D
 
as a humble mercenary of brilliant head and coordination games, as pool, i look forward to be at any service. well, any could be exadurated but what is possible from a laptop anyway.

I'll be keeping my eyes open for the polls & anything else. I wish I were in a position to give more help but even if it's just spreading the news via word of mouth you guys have my full support.

I wore out my spell checker years ago ;), seriously i spell so bad i dont bother with it-i'm so far off it dosent work. for the 5% of the people who get mad at me I make the other 95% smile, and make quality posts to make up for the bad spelling. i have a very high IQ and a great memorie but my brain dosent process letters right, i cant tell right from left with out think ing about it-we are all good at some things and bad at others, i speak very well, my grammer on a keyboard is terrible, i dont need to write down a phone number if i'm going to dial it right then, but spelling a word is impossible, i cant even sound them out and get close, so please like me the way i am, i bring alot to the table,

i hope this project works out, also i have no interest in making $$$ from it, or attention, my motives are pure I wsnt to do something for the game and whe I do things I do them big and right.

Good luck! Even though the IPT failed, I do believe there is a market for more mainstream bigger money pool. It just needs to be presented right.

I hope you are the right guys for the job. The last guy sure wasn't.
 
Thank you all for your support. Unfortunately, Fatboy has to go overseas for more back surgery, and it may be a while before we can kick this thing off.

But not that long. I do know he is looking forward to doing this, and he is not a guy who does things halfway. We have a wonderful proposal made already for an innovative television show, that I'm convinced will work if given the chance.

Sorry I can't tell you more at this time. It is in the planning or formulation stages now.

I will go out on a limb and say this. Fatboy could probably buy and sell Trudeau a few times over. He IS the real deal! Not some phony huckster.

looks like plans might be changing for me so I am going to be in Europe for a bit longer... so if you need a little international input let me know
