Very boring to watch.
Pockets not allowing players to be aggressive.
Saw one of the top ten players just now choose to bank safe instead of a slight overcut with natural cue ball travel to the next ball 9 ' away.
Had to turn it off, don't think I'll watch any more of THIS.
Doesn't feel ''at all'' like 9 ball.

I agree, strick enforcement of a shot clock and limited extensions are what's needed!

Do they get hit in the head if they exceed the shot clock?
Ha Ha, yes that should have read STRICT enforcement! While we're at this shot clock thing, how about each player being allowed 3 extensions per MATCH, instead of one per inning? That way they would really have to plan their extensions carefully throughout the game. Just a thought.

idk, i think 1 extension per rack is acceptable. but i wouldn't mind 25 second shot clock instead of 30. also have the players avg. shot time displayed

Yes, pool without a shot clock can be a dull affair, but the quality of the play has been very high. Have to wonder why the most lethargic players, such as Kaci, are allowed on the stream table at all when the shot clock is off.

Tomorrow, the shot clock will be in use, making all these matches watchable.

This is the real problem. The equipment is forcing conservative play, forcing even the most elite to sometimes shun the toughest shots and the most aggressive positional shots.

You words nailed it.

The line on you is, you hit em straight.
I doubt that. I'm also a non player humanoid. So much for me. The premise is linearity of course. Consider the cue maker spends years learning to make wood stay straight and to cut it straight. Newer Mfggers crank out perfectly straight pieces. Same with tables, mechanics, and ball makers. Balls stay withing spec no matter how hard or far you hit 'em. Pool pockets - even @ 4 inches, have ample swish room. You know the point. the rest is whatever people wanna argue about. :ROFLMAO:

The never-ending changes being made by Matchroom WNT to the game is starting to get ridiculous. I accepted the ball color changes, though to this day, I have to call the ball by its color and not number because I can't remember. I'm starting to get used to the shark grey cloth, but traditional green will always be my favorite. The pocket size change is not well accepted by most. As Mike Panozzo said in a Window's Open podcast, maybe next they'll ask the player to wear an eye patch like a pirate. Call it "Pirate Pool."

Not sure who's behind the curtain making these changes at Matchroom WNT, but whoever they are, they're definitely not a pool player. In my opinion, of course.

Should have stuck with Diamond Pro Cut Pockets at 4.5" for pro events. When they came out in the 90's, they were tougher than triple shimmed Gold Crowns, due to the deeper shelf and the less parallel miter angles. Fast forward 30 years to today, 550-650 speed players at my local hall that can't run a rack on Pro Cut 4.5" want 4.25" and 4.125" Diamonds. For 9 Ball! Wtf are people thinking?!?
