So far, I am undefeated at the U.S Amateur Open Seniors Division down here in Jacksonville.

OK, I have only played one match so far but hey...at my age...I take the glory whenever I can,

I did play well though...winning 4-1 with break in runs in racks 4 and 5.

But the highlight of the trip so far was meeting JoeyA personally for the first time. What a NICE guy. He even saved me from forfeiting my match since I was sweating the pro event and didn't hear my name called!

THANKS Joey!

Joy Boy to the rescue. He should wear a cape!

Hey..THANKS to all. Just won again. Both JoeyA and I are now 2-0.

Don't know if was posted elsewhere, but Thorsten won the straight pool defeating Mika who was ahead 112-3. Then TH ran 167. Mika made only a few more and TH won.

Regards,
Jim

Well done Jim! Keep it up :-)

Quote:
"The first essential step in the direction of learning any subject is to find principles of numerical reckoning and practicable methods for measuring some quality connected with it. I often say that when you can measure what you are speaking about, and express it in numbers, you know something about it; but when you cannot measure it, when you cannot express it in numbers, your knowledge is of a meagre and unsatisfactory kind." - Lord Kelvin

Colin...I really like that quote. I worked for Federal Express for several years, and had the opportunity to spend some time with CEO and founder Fred Smith. He took the same idea and simplified it..."You can't manage what you can't measure"

It was true in business, and it's true in pool!
