Under the pool table

I have a dog and he keeps going under the pool table. My question is there anything I can put under the table to prevent him from going under the table. Like decorations or something else. Is there anyone else that has had the same problem? Thanks.
 
I wish my dog would go under the table. She's always laying down where she's in the way and could get stepped on. Those that come to play at my house know what I'm talking about.
 
Yeah my dog seems to lie in the way or walk in between me and the table when I'm shooting, going under the cue. But most of the time she stays out of the way. She never goes underneath...can't fit....130 lb great dane :D

Why not just shove boxes or other storage items underneath the table?

Is the dog going or going. One requires housetraining.One requires another type of "place"
training.
 
I don't want to put boxes or other "storage" items under the table because that would ruin the look and feel of the room.

I use plastic carpet runway strips with the spikes facing upwards to keep the cat from banging into the bedroom door all night. It works perfectly for it, maybe it will work for your dog.... The cat won't go near the spikes.

I got it at home depot, its like $2 or $3 per linear foot, in the carpet section. It comes in 3' wide rolls. They sell two kinds, one is about $1 cheaper per foot, but the spikes are not nearly as stiff, pointy, or numerous as the more expensive one.

I roll it up during the day, and put it out at night before going to sleep.

Highly recommended.

To me, it's not a problem.
What's wrong with the dog going under the table?
I had a dog for almost 18 years....he loved sleeping under a pool table.
....and I didn't mind him doing it.
 
lol, my wife was complaining about the cat waking her up trying to get into the bedroom this morning about an hour ago!
 
When I get to the easy shot after the hard one...... I take my cue and wave it under the table..... to chase the dog out!!!!!!! No! Really!
 
i have a 160lb giant malamute who always does this, he likes being close and thats where i always am, he used to stay in my way on the outside of the table, and now he stays under the table, its nice, whats the problem? unless u mean hes "going" under the table
 
Under Table Dog

I guess i don't know whats up , I put toys under my table for the dogs ( 4) to play with . Best to ya Rob

Lay the rake on the floor where he likes to lay, or sprinkle a little paprika on the area, his nose won't appreciate it .
 
Table

If your referring to "going" as in pooping "#2" under the table....
Are you sure it's dog poop..........?
I've heard of pool players doing some desperate things so they don't miss their turn to shoot....
Or your dog is MADD at you! I've heard of dogs pooping on the owners pillows and peeing on the owners shoes... Of course it's when the dog is alone this all happens'

I won't own a dog for several reasons and this is one case and scenario.

It may not be such a bad thing.

Reminds me of a story ... :rolleyes:

There was this woman who didn't know how to get rid of a mouse in her house so she asked the pet store what to do.

They suggested buying a cat.

The cat climbed on her kitchen counters, ate food off the table and was a pain. So, she went back to the pet store to find out how to get rid of the cat.

They suggested buying a dog.

The dog barked all day and all night, crapped all over the house and she was getting upset with it. Soooooo ....... back to the pet store asking how to get rid of the dog.

They suggested buying a lion. Yep a lion. That'll take care of the dog problem.

It did too, and the lion just slept quietly all day as well. Only problem, he took over the living room and his claws wrecked the funiture.

Once again, back to the pet store to figure out how to get rid of the lion.

They suggested buying an elephant.

It worked too, but she couldn't live in the house any more. So, once again she asked the pet store how to get rid of the elelphant.

They suggested ...... BUY A MOUSE. :p

So, maybe it's not so bad after all.
 
I assume you meant your dog is pooping under the table, right?
Put one of these in the corner and problem is solved. :smile:
