Undisclosed Damage

They generally only get what's coming to them when people stop accepting it. Part of not accepting it is warning the next guy if you clearly know there is deception going on, not to mention that it is just a good thing to do. You would want to know if it were you so you could decide how to proceed accordingly.

I would agree but if you believe what you're doing is right you don't look for validation. This whole thread would have had specifics and names, you can't waffle. That's why I say he should walk away. His deal ended with a refund which says the seller did his part. You don't get to sit back and pick and choose when you're going to insert yourself into someone's business. That's not right.

Where does it stop? Say someone buys it, do you then get to message them and say hey so what happened with the wrap? That's messy as all get out

The names and issues will be brought to light Mikey, I was purely asking first before publicly bashing. I intentionally cropped this purely to show the damage, but no mistake a magnifying glass was not needed. This was a gouge 3/4 way up the wrap:

I would add that picture to my for sale add if was selling that cue.
100% anyone in cues is posting that....and looking at the wrap alone I know that's a greater than $1k cue.

I'd have a hard time playing with that too, I think I would always be feeling around for it. I wouldn't buy that.

Just a question for the forum. What level of undisclosed damage would you be willing to work with the seller on? Let's say there's some wrap damage, would you immediately ask for full refund? Would you ask for partial refund? Rewrap? Just chalk it up if you really like the cue? I'm just curious everyone's stance. For the sake of argument let's say it's really a wrap beyond saving, and would need to be replaced all together.
The $ of the cue and whether new or used are the first two obvious questions. If it’s new, it should be flawless, even if it’s a low priced cue. If it’s a used cue, regardless the price, then if it’s an obvious flaw that needs attention it should’ve clearly been disclosed by the seller.

If not, it’s either returnable for a full refund including your shipping costs X 2 (when you bought it and when you returned it), or the seller is willing to pay for you to get the needed repairs done by a person of your choice.

Is that along the seam?

I’m not really seeing a gouge, I’m seeing the seam with possibly a little bit of imperfection towards the top of the seam in your photo.

Ok, now final question, and hopefully some other people see this and chime in, because I'm really interested to see opinions. After all is said and done, seller refuses to pay 1/2 of rewrap, so cue returned and refund issued. Seller then is seen immediately listing the cue multiple times without disclosing damage still. Is it then only fitting as the former buyer to say something letting the public know about said cue?

It's a free Country. Do what you think is right.

Myself, I would move on ...

This is very subjective. See if the seller wants to work with you and go from there.

Here, this makes it a little easier to see the stop point.

Definitely some scraping along the raised seam - as someone said likely caused from the butt of his cue coming down across the rail top on his follow through. This is what I would consider marginal cosmetic damage to a leather wrap, but yes, should’ve been disclosed by the seller. If they had made a little better attempt to address it, they probably could have made it look less noticeable, but yes no question, it should’ve been disclosed. You should contact the seller and negotiate a fair compensation if you still want the cue, otherwise he should take it back for a full refund..

Just leave it be...
Buyer beware always.

The guy wants to be a scumbag, karma will find him.

Most seller are honest, the dishonest one fook up the system.

Wonder why people do not cry as much about products advertised on TV, or Internet that are💩, or do not work as advertised.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Agreed.

And as a seller, there will be no partial refunds. Price/ item accepted as proposed or not.

No post sale coupons.
Even if the seller dumped the cue undisclosed? When I make a mistake, I offer to correct it.

No coupons on someone being a jerk and trying to chisel, sure.

However, if I obviously screw up, splitting the cost of a wrap is more than fair

I refuse to buy cues unless I get a bargain. That wouldn't bother me so long as I got it for a great price. But then I didn't buy the cue. What kind of cue is it and and how much did you pay?

Exceptions do exist...

So, you think it went down like this, "This cue is mint, but because I might not be disclosing some damage, I'll sell it to you for a 20% discount. Dealio, Pops??
