Unknown to me cue, thought Mottey

I think so, or at least very much possible. He made a lot of steel jointed cues in earlier days, and red was a favorite veneer color. I have a very early Wayne with red & black veneers, short points, and very thin black trim ring on the outer edges of the joint. Lots of things add up. But it's a traditional type cue that any of 20+ cuemakers could have built.
 
Not so sure on TW....possible though. To me, the work looks too good to be one of his early cues. Points look too long as well.

Would like to see closer up more detailed pics of this cue, if possible.

Hey aren't those guns supposed to be pictured next to a cue you're selling? You know.. play with a cueaddicts cue or get beat by one? :thumbup:

Yeah, definitely not a Mottey. Granted, I haven't seen every single cue he's ever made but this doesn't fit him. Those diamonds at the ends of the points don't look like his. I know he's done that but those don't look like his work. Then again, if you judged Paul Mottey cues by what was displayed in the color photos of of Blue Book II you'd never guess he did classic cues.

Has this cue been refinished? If not then a signature from Mottey or Black would be between the points....which there isn't.

just saw this cue on ebay for 8 bills throwing around names like that makes me want to buy it for that price
