The next question is have ALL the players and staff been paid yet? Johnnyt
:frown:
Nothing like beating a dead horse....
From the very beginning, almost all players were paid.
Were you one of the players that didn't get paid?
I didn't think so....![]()
Are you saying that if he wasn't one of the players owed money its none of his buisness? Should failure to pay players in a public event where they posted a entry fee be not be made public for the good of the next guy who ponies up his 500 bucks? I want to know if they got paid. If they don't get paid i won't be attending next year. Will you? And if so please explain why?

The US 9 Ball Open is not listed as a points event for BCA rankings for 2013. Does anyone know why and is Barry having trouble pulling it off this year?
Really not trying to run Barry down.
My original issue is a concern that the US 9 Ball Open is not listed as a qualifying event for for BCA points. My guess is they do not have a venue set for this year or he will not be holding it. If anyone knows I would really love to find out.
To set the record straight the reason the ABP almost boycotted it because it sometimes took almost a year for all players to be paid including the tournament winner.
Is the open happening? I was goiing for the first time...

Do you know how many players didn't get paid or only got paid a partial payment? This whole thing is old news and the amount of people that didn't get paid is less than a handful.
Barry has been running the U.S. Open longer then any other Professional tournament in America and seems a few people on AZBilliards just wants to run him down. I respect Barry and his dedication all these years to run a tournament. And no...it is none of my business about who didn't get paid what. Lots of people owe me money that I will never see. It was a learning experience. I don't go around crying about it 'cause it's no one else's business.
Yes...I will probably play in it again one of these years. I am sure I don't have to worry about not getting paid since I'm not good enough to get into the money. But we never know.
the US Open 10 ball should replace the US Open 9 ball as the pre-eminent tournament in the US
Also WPPA. Will have their event on 9' tables

To Mark Griffin:
Maybe you could make Barry an offer to acquire the rights to the US Open 9-ball. That way we don't ever have to worry about getting paid.
