my idea was not to make any money out of it for me, just a way of amateurs playing in big money tournaments,

if your doing it for yourself then thats sad if your not making any money then fair enough but come up with your own ideas before stealing other peoples

to be honest i never knew he did, i just thought of it and have been talking to pokerstars about doing it, just seemed strange i put it up and now he starts the same concepts i had or very similar

When you put an idea out there then you are giving it away.

Einstein said that if he gives someone else a dollar then he is one dollar poorer and the receiver is one dollar richer. But if gives someone else an idea then he is none the poorer and the receiver is one idea richer.

Someone else said that nothing in the world is cheaper than a good idea with no action.

If you put it out here on the web then it's fair game for everyone to take and run with. That's why ideas and concepts are not patentable or copyrightable. Only the fruits of those ideas are patentable and copyrightable if they pass the requirements for those designations.

Also there is no reason why every poker site in teh world can't do something similar. I feel that this idea has no chance of working but why not try if you have the means to pursue it.

I feel that doing it for "free" is absolutely the WRONG way to go about it. Everything that is worth anything takes energy and effort to accomplish. There needs to be some reward there. There aren't many people who have the ability and can maintain the desire to do something that profits others without getting something for themselves.

Those that can have usually made enough to sustain them from other endeavors or their sustenance is a meager existence, think missionaries.

I feel that it should be run as a business and a money making operation. I hope that you and Vincent and anyone else who runs with this idea gets mega-rich and that in the process you bring millions into pool and it inspires millions more to go out and practice so they can win their share of the mega poker/pool tournaments.

John Barton - has also put ideas out there and watched others run with them. Some worked and some didn't.

I used to get so mad at these types of guys...Then one day I realized something that a much greater man had wrote. More than a hundred years before I was born...

"A man can get alot done in one lifetime so as long as he does not care who get's the credit."

Well I thought I would share this as I used to let people like this get to me. Now If I want something done I tell one of my people, then about a year later I can buy it wholesale.

The only thing that pisses me off about it is how long it takes them to make my product...slackers. I still hate it when they only steal half of my idea...

My thoughts are that this project took much more than a month to be developed. The chances that he steal you the idea are lesser than zero.

LOL, why am I reminded of this?

Lee, you publicly accused Vincent of stealing your idea. It appears evident, this is not the case. When Jerry speaks, AZB listens!

With some tongue in cheek...

Looks like you have:

Perhaps this (in the absence of an apology) would be helpful:

If you copyright or patent an idea it is yours. If you don't, then it is not yours and you have no right to any compensation. If you so badly wanted possession of this concept; you should have run with it and made it happen. If Vincent makes this happen, all credit goes to him. My father always said "%$#@ or get off the pot." Half the members of AZB have tremendous ideas for the growth of the sport, and most share them gladly and willingly; hopefully you will join that half at some point.

When I was a kid, I thought a rocket to the moon could really work.....but NASA never gave me a dime when they stole my idea (....errr....Jules Verne's idea...). If I had organized and financed the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo projects I would have expected to make a profit, or what's the point? No pool promoter should be criticized for trying to make a profit. People that promote such things for free are certainly to be commended; but it is more realistic to expect promoters to seek a reasonable profit and allow the event to continue in the future. JMO.

Back in the 80s, when my dad was in Saudi Arabia (he also lives there now) he had an idea for coffee to be placed in heir own disposable filters. He disregarded the notion because he figured if it was feasible or practical, it would have been done already. Doh!

Anyway, two or more people are capable of coming up with the same idea without stealing it.

Vincent told me about this idea at least back in January. Besides, he is French and so does not need to steal. If he needs anything he can just ask his government for it and then take the month of August off. :)
We want to move back to Europe so badly and are thinking about going to France :)

Sorry Lee,

Have been working on this for a long time, I told my friend Oliver Ortmann at the World 9 ball championships in Manilla 16 month ago.
So if you feel like I stold you ridea then It's not my fault.

All the best,

Vincent,
