I watched him play several times thru the years. A GREAT player and what I saw, an absolute gentleman. A true legend of the game, and he will be missed. R.I.P.

my thoughts exactly F*ck, it really sucks to lose another great life long player, in pool there are those who come and go, then there are the lifers who might drop out of sight for a while but will awalys be back. Wade was a life long player, I didnt know him personally but I have seen him play many times and heard many stories about him from other players. When your a lifer in pool, which I am-I feel a huge loss when something like this happens.

When he looked like this, he was nearly unbeatable! Billy was smooth, oh so smooth. Man, could he lay it down. He was a good tournament play, but for money he was a killer! :frown:

This is the worst of news, Wade played in many of mine and my brother Calvin's tournaments in Texarkana in the 90's, I always admired his stroke, only a hand full of players had a stroke like Crane.

I remember when I was a kid in the poolhall, this old man poolplayer called "Rip" had just returned from the "Johnson City" tournament and said Billy Johnson was playing lights out!, over the years I learned that Billy Johnson and Wade Crane were one in the same.

My prayers go out to his family, he will be missed.
