Glen

Well, apparently they do. My buddy just ordered one and the Brunwick Website has it as an option.

Oh well.

The gully ball return is available on the Gold Crown Pro 8, it is not an available option on the Gold Crown 5 9ft, look at the Brunswick site again;)

real king cobra I am going to buy a nine foot diamond soon. I would buy one of bigtrucks 8 foots but I want a nine foot. I want you to set it up. I want the 4 1/2 Pro cut pockets. Do you like the diamonds or the gold crowns more? I think your the best table mech. in the country and I want my table to play better than any around and I think your the man for the job. And would you go with the 760, 860, or 860 low humidity simonis on a nine foot?

Eric, check with Hollywood Jim, he's the one that has the 9' box on the way (with gully). I had him and Poolhustler in my office today. Too bad you missed the party :D

Depends on where you live as to me delivering your table, as well as when;) I like the Diamonds over the Gold Crowns for several reasons, one being the Dymondwood finished rails, two being the higher resale value, three being the bi-level leather pockets because Diamond don't use any metal pocket castings, four..the fact that you have a choice between a one piece slate or a three piece. But, overall either table is a very good choice for a 9ft table at home, MY first choice though is the Diamond ProAm...it may be ugly, but it's number one in my book!;)

Cloth...that all depends on what you play, so need more info to answer that question:D

Gold Crown V tournament edition mahogany w/nickel

9'G 1"F $10,199.00 Gully ball return

I found this info on a Canadian site promoting the sale of GC5's. I don't know enough about what Brunswick offers for sale on these tables to be an expert, I was just responding to information that was told to me, I stand corrected if I gave the wrong information...as I'm a billiards technician and not a salesman:D and Fatboy's Gold Crown 5 was the first one I've ever worked on, as I normaly don't work on anything but Diamonds...most of the time anyway;) but as anyone can see, my work is the same no matter what the table is, or who built it:D

You like the pro am over the pro???!!!! And I live in tennsesse right on the border near fulton....a town called martin. Any way I was thinking a 9 foot pro cause I can get those much cheaper than a gold crown or pro am....I think. i play alot of bank and nine ball. I like to play one pocket but not many players around here do. I want a pretty fast table but not unresonably fast. And I heard the one piece slat plays better is that true?

Nice work Glen. Your cue looks like a McDermott C-21. Sweet. I love those C series McD's.

I'm often asked which table I prefer. I respond that it is a tough question because I like both. The Diamond and the Gold Crown are both excellent tables, and I would be happy with either one. The GC is a sexier looking table, especially the new ones. They do play different though. The biggest difference is the Diamond rails bank shorter. You can really shorten up a bank on a Diamond. Gold Crowns bank more "true" imo. Like I said, I like both and it is just a matter of adjustment.

New, the Gold Crown is much more expensive than the Diamond. The best deal in tables is buying a used Gold Crown. Better than most new tables. I have personally sold a couple of dozen used GC I's, II's, III's and IV's in the $1,500 to $3,000 price range in the last year. Even a used Diamond might be $3,500 or more. There aren't many around is why.

Of the 3 tables, the ProAm is the lowest priced.

It is at that, and with 3 shafts it's also in mint condition I might add, I've had it since January 1980, when it was sent to me as a gift from Jim for pioneering the sales of McDermott cues in Europe in the 80's.
