Jay....do you really believe it is the real Chris Bartram posting this crap?
If so, I have some guaranteed "hair growth" potion for sale:D

Several other posters stepped up and vouched that it's really him.

I'll be the first to say that you have paid Chris some compliments on here but you have also made some comments that DO NOT sit well with him either.... Like last year when he was playing Chohan in Detroit and you made a couple of offhanded comments about people watching where they put their money because you thought it was a dump. You have personal reasons for not liking Tony and IMO in an attempt to throw a jab at Tony eluding that he was down with Humpty Dumpty, you threw Chris under the bus. You know as well as I do that there are two categories, those that will dump and those that won't. Chris is in the won't/don't camp and I know he doesn't appreciate you insinuating he was, is, or might be, or anyone else saying it for that matter... From day one he has prided himself for not being a dump artist and by someone insinuating he is tarnishes his image and his honest image is his livelyhood. How would you like it if someone went to a poker/card site and associated your name with a known card mechanic and that the two of you were possibly doing business together? You'd be salty too....

Long ago, you told me you had won some money betting on Chris, enough that you said he had a porkchop coming. Well the two of you have been in the same place several times since then, have you gotten around to throwing him his bone? Don't think so...

Then the Chris / Mike match.... You commented here that the best player won and then in the chatroom at TAR said that you thought the robbery got to Mike and threw his game off. Well, did the best player win or did Chris win because Mikes money got funny? You also made some comments about Mike was stealing playing Chris and that Mike is better than Bergman, Morra and all of the other young guns. IMO, you've treated Chris like a chump and he's just sending it right back at ya. If Mikes so damn good and he only lost because he was stressed about getting robbed a gambler like yourself should be jumping up to put him in the box.

And you said, "You are not a gracious winner Chris. You seem to prefer to gloat and put other people down. I'm not at all surprised considering the people you associate with. Perhaps one day you will mature and act like an adult. Until then, good luck in kindergarten." Now how many of you out there have ever heard Chris gloat about winning? Heard or seen him be anything but gracious if he loses? Heard him put other people down? Seen him act immature? I know you don't think highly of Jamie but eleaborate on the people Chris associates with Jay.........

Yeah I know ScottW but I've seen him a couple of times in action and I've heard him commentate on TAR more than once......and I just have a suspicion that it's not really him........he always seemed more humble and calmer than these posts.......let's just say that if it is really Chris then I've lost a good deal of respect for him......

Are you missing those keys on your keyboard? JK, but, if you are the real Chris Bartrum, we had a run in playing online poker about a year and a half ago. It was 5/10 limit and you were running over the table. A little trash talking ensued, and I told you that you can't beat me in pool. Then you revealed your identity. Which online poker site was this????

Chris, seriously, you need to sit down with Jay and have a pow wow. What you heard I gather was through second hand. Things get distorted that way.
Now you dont blame Jay for cheering a guy who he likes. Thats good for the game and good for your game. You came in like a MAN and proved all the nay sayers wrong. Cheering for your man is part of the game. You looked good. Jay clearly gave you proprs. You were the winner. Dont go on this "you said this" jag. You got a whole lot of respect not just nationally but internationally as well.
Recently I was bragging on a friend on the internet but a couple of nitwit acquaintances got it all wrong and went to him and said I said he was a loser. It got aound the whole town and my friend became my enemy until I got together with him and straightened it out.
People like to cause drama!!!! Dont let that get in the way of your well done victory.
So if you are Chris and have something to say to Jay I think you should deal with it one on one. No need to bring in Tang, Tony, Ronnie, and all the other blah, blah, blah. And as I said the other team woofing against you is really good for the game. A winner knows that.
I can just tell you that Jay is a stand up guy and can admit if he is wrong. Talk to him direct and dont let your entourage spur you on with "he said, she said". You are a great sportsman and name calling is outside of that realm. Keep it simple. Talk with him straight.

I never said any specific game was a dump, only to be wary of one guy, and it wasn't Chris. If he wants to interpret it that way, so be it.

I stand by my comments about the recent match though. I do think the best man won that day, but Mike was affected by the robbery in his motel room. Both statements are not mutually exclusive.

Saw, didn't you give Chris $20 to give to me from a small sweat bet we made. Well, I'm still waiting for him to hand it to me. When I get it or any kind of acknowledgment about it, then he will get a jelly from me. Not until then.

As far as my comments about Chris' maturity, I direct you to read some of his posts on here. His true colors are showing. If he had a beef with me from something I said nearly two years ago, he should talk to me directly, and we could iron it out. He seems to prefer to hold a grudge. That's his problem, not mine.

Just admit it u were wrong Mike is a way inferior player and has no chance to win under any circumstances..

If he's so inferior then maybe you would like to play him?

Sure will i will take the 8 last and 3 playing ten ball comeon down to columbus, oh and i will play....when u coming?

That's all you want from such an inferior player? I would have thought you would have offered to spot him, being as he is so weak.

Maybe you guys should meet at the bike rack after school to settle this. Jay has always been a pretty stand up, classy guy on here, and of course, I do not know C bartram, however, no one is making themselves look all that great here. A simple phone call or meeting might be a good way to iron this stuff out.

Both of you guys seem to do a lot for pool, so I am sure it would be better if you were on the same page. Get it worked out like men and move forward!

Like I said Chris, dont let your entourage do your talking for you their only hurting you with their nonsense. You won. Mike lost. Thats enough. Tell your pals to stop with the "we bad" bull. That stuff is old and doesnt pay your bills. Good management and good relations do.

He is weak compared to a great player I am a shortstop..thats what decent players spot me chris can give me more than that spot...so i am asking for less with mike by asking for 8 and last 3.

Alzheimers kickin in??? You told me that you would collect the $20 from the Cory/SVB match at the US Open last year. I wasn't going and since you said you had a porchop for Chris, I said to collect my $20 from him. I never really sweated it after that until I asked Chris if he paid the $20 and if he got your porkchop and he said no he didn't. I PM'ed you right away and shipped it thru Paypal. Copied and pasted from my Paypal account---> Feb. 7, 2008 Payment To jay helfert Completed Details -$20.00 USD $0.00 USD -$20.00 USD So you want to try to make me look like a scumbag that doesn't pay..... I don't appreciate it! Go check your Paypal account and then come back and tell me I'm right....
