Wanted/For Sale Section to Change in New Year

I would be willing to pay a fee. The exposure here is huge, and worth it. It is only 2 weeks to see what happens next I guess.

I for one don't see how certain pool cues go for $5k, $10k, $20k and so on. I can understand that some are legitimate works of art. But when I look at some of these cues from certain cue builders and it's let's say a four pointer with some ivory in the butt sleeve and it's listed at $20k but the cue builder sold it for $3k new 7 months ago I just don't get it.

Other thing that really bothers me is when these cues are posted and you see all of the other Cue Flippers making comments like..."nice monster", "great player / investment cue", "you did it again Bill...great find", great price won't last long", "what a work of art", "won't last long" ....and on and on. And they post these comments one right after the other. It's always the same guys. These cue flippers. In the corporate wourld this type of activity is considered collusion, antitrust and price fixing.

Can't wait for this to end in 2012.

Wow. This may be the dumbest post I have ever read. No a personal attack. I don know you.

With that being said do you have any clue how many items you use in everyday life that was or has parts imported from overseas. China Indonesia where ever.

How does that thought ever go thru you head?!?!? I wish for one month someone had the power to take away every imported item in you life to watch you wonder the streets lost. You would not know what to do with yourself.

Again not a personal attack on you. Anyone making the statement you made would have received the same response.

Can't wait to hear your response typed on your imported computer of iPhone.

We are in a global economy kinda world now. Get used to it.

Dave, besides being a scammer here on AZ, I guess your too dumb to know that the Chinese ARE communists...and, everyone is a slave to their regime. Sooner or later we will be at war with the Chinese (if we're not already). Who's side will YOU be on?

CHINA'S leaders are commie bastards that can divert huge precentages of their GNP to a war effort in a moments notice without subjecting the populace to the theatre we suffer.

The vast majority of the population are peasants, just like us, with similiar needs and wants.

We are the greatest threat to each others existence.

It pisses me off once again when another ignorant azer writes nonsense like this.
How many countries have you visited out of the U.S? I'm dead curious to know. My suggestion to you is sell all the Chinese made products you have now, use that money and travel the world, seriously its bigger than you think. Besides, by the time you've sold all your China made product you'll pretty much not have a real home left and probably naked as well but fret not visit China and the great communist party will supply you with something.

I noticed in your profile that you drive a truck? Just curious, do you vet through your manifest and deny all things Chinese? If not, I on behalf of the great Chinese communist party with a red book hereby announce you an active communist member . Here's a ticket, go collect your sack of rice in the next queue. Next!

Visit China buddy, you'll see how the country works. If you ever come by Wuhan let me know, I'll pick you up and bring you for dinner. I promise no ones gonna lock you in a God forsaken place.

Yadayaya.....

jeez...over 20 pages and over 300 posts to this thread :boring2:

Please somebody move this thread to the appropriate section ~ like maybe the Main Forum :duck:

Well the only reason I can see cfrandy's comments is because someone quoted him. He is on my ignore list.

I have and will never do business with him so he does not know me at all.

I think he has proven how smart he is with his comments so I won't even bother to retaliate.

Enjoy all your imported products. Hippocrate.

Is your ignorance bottomless?

Very few Chinese people are members of the Communist party. The ones that are members are very often only members because of the need to use that membership to get favors from government officials or to get government and university jobs. Very few people who are card-carrying communists in China actually believe in or practice communist doctrine.

All that said you must be WORSE because you buy and sell goods made in China and thus support the 'regime' you expect to be at war with. Since you think everyone in China is a slave to the government then why are you using and selling and touting Chinese made goods?

A perfect example of the type of seller that has to be eliminated is Cueball1.
Sadly, Cueball1 eliminated himself by ripping off some good people, but he is a classic example of the problem,
even without the scammer added feature.
Since the raffles ended everybody has forgotten about Tassadicts.
This is the type of seller that clutters up the sale section with production stuff, trade-in cues, and crap.
No posts in other sections, no contribution to the forum, just bump bump bump-it-up.
I want to continue to see new cues & cases, especially by the cue/casemaker, even the authorized dealers, as long as they are a forum contributor.
What if a cuemaker has someone back out on a custom cue and wants to sell it here because he may need the funds?
Do we really want to prevent that from happening?
That type of exclusion is not what AZ is all about, and new policy should only be written to limit sales by the Cueball1 / Tassadicts of the world...not the cue/casemaker, even the pocketchalkermaker,
and especially the collectors regardless of the new/used status of their pool related item.

Can you give me one example you've seen on AZ billiards of a "a four pointer with some ivory in the butt sleeve and it's listed at $20k but the cue builder sold it for $3k new 7 months ago" or are you exaggerating to make a point?

Thanks

Kevin

Curious about this post regarding such comments.

Kevin,
You of all should know better than that. It would be a rules violation to speak about a specific post.

Mark

I don't understand this either. How is it a rules violation to speak about a specific post? What rule is that?

I'm still trying to understand "a four pointer with some ivory in the butt sleeve and it's listed at $20k but the cue builder sold it for $3k new 7 months ago", unless you were exaggerating. You posted it, I'm sure it was an attempt to communicate, and I'm trying to understand what you were saying. Were you exaggerating or could you please cite me some examples of this happening? I can't think of one and I really try to look at cues in that price range. There is no cue maker that delivers a new product for 3K that can be flipped in 7 months for 20K, and I can't think of one time I've seen anyone here try. Your post seemed to me that you were saying it was a common occurrence so I'm real curious to see an example.

Thanks again

Kevin

It would be a lot less without the flamers and hypocrites. There are some good posts here with good suggestions. We have all learned a lot. I didn't know that Jerry's gripe is over them being legally harassed through the activity here.

That's a great cue.

100% agreed....that's an awesome Searing.

I didn't do this to be a jerk, but just found it curious, considering you just made this post (below). It seems you were doing that same exact thing. It wouldn't be fair to say that it's ok for "A" to do this but "B" can't. That's why I've pushed for fairness in how AZ decides to 'clean up' this section. If comments like this were outright banned, it might help reduce clutter but it'd be a much duller place. It's gone on so long that it's surely become habit for a lot of AZers.....but this kind of stuff has also helped bolster the community atmosphere here.

Personally, I hope it doesn't end in 2012.....in January or on 12/21. :)
