It sure was.......i hope your not next.
My personal fiasco dealing with Zinzola started in 2008. Thats when I bought this piece of **** from him

After many calls and texts he agreed to replace the cue which he did ONLY 2 YEARS LATER.
In December of 2010 I sent it back to him because it was warped, and he said he would fix it......
May of 2011...I asked wheres the cue, and Zinzola said its done and going out in a day or two.
January 2011....I asked wheres the cue
August 2011....still waiting
November 2011......??????????
December of 2011 I finally received the fixed cue which was a redo of the first mess.

December 2011, I emailed Zinzola that the cue still wobbles, what exactly did you fix? And I have sent it out to a very well respected cuemaker to look at it.

He then agreed to refund my $2,750 .......

So a month later he then begged me to take 2 cues instead of the money, AND AFTER HEARING HIM CARRY ON HOW CUEMAKING SUCKS AND ITS THE WORST DECISION HE EVER MADE....I FELT BAD AND AGREED (right here is where you say "Steve your an idiot"

Well here we are in Aug 2013 and no cues and no money and all I hear are people complaining about this guy.

Please pm me with any info on Zinzola

IF YOU GIVE HIM A DEPOSIT....
IF YOU TRUST HIM WITH ANYTHING......
IF YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM.........

YOU WERE WARNED!

Just curious, is that pic supposed to show why the cue is a piece of shit?

Cuz it looks pretty nice. Really nice. Is that the zinzola in your avatar? If so then it can't look TOO terrible.
I guess there are little bits that look off around the fleur de lis, but to be honest
nobody's gonna see that unless they've got their earl strickland magnifying glass out.

Obviously if it warped that's no good, but you're saying you bought it in 2008 and you
send it back in december of 2010 to deal with the warp? So did it arrive warped or did it warp over
the course of 2 and a half years?

Creedo, I think you miss read his post about the warpage and agreement time frame...and that is not a Zinzola in his avatar. Good luck Steve, hope this gets resolved.

That inlay work looks "pretty nice" to you? If the photos don't lie, it looks terrible...... take a close look.... yikes !!

It is like opening the hood on a car and people not having any clue as to what they are looking at, always got a chuckle out of the guy looking at the AC and asking if it was a supercharger. Look at the fleur de lis. That is unacceptable at Zinzolas supposed level as a cue builder and I am sure that is not the only flaw. There should be no flaws at all.

Exactly, at that price range and "alleged" craftsmanship, this cue is firewood now. I'd be embarrassed to show it to anyone, let alone play with it, cause i'd be so upset every time I had to look at the cue, I'd never make a ball.

Hope he makes this right... I'd rather have a cuetec decal cue, because at least the "inlays" would match, and you got what you paid for :)

Yeah

It would be better if you read the post, captain...lol

If you think it's so beautiful.....lets see if Tony will give it back and I can sell it to you for $2,750.

Tikkler, I seem to recall how you proudly showed it off in the cue gallery when you first got the cue, then became incensed only after other members pointed out the various (obvious) flaws.

Anyway, it's a POS. Creedo, you need your eyes checked if you think that is a "nice cue." Classic example of cuemaker overreach.

I thought Zinzola was suppose to be a top notch builder. Must not be any more if he ever was. That thing looks BAD, and all the complaints lately... NOT GOOD.

Better luck next time Tikkler!!!

yeah Roger....imagine me having the balls to proudly show off a cue. That sure does make up for getting screwed over by Zinzola.....lol.

Wondering the same thing buddah, I remember the same thing.

Also seem to remember you were going to play with it, not tote it around and show people what an incredible stick you ordered. Is it a player or a showpiece in your collection?

Oh crap....Zinzola let the popcorn burn. Does him agreeing to refund my money come into play here......ya think.

sorry to hear this, steve

Well, nothing else really matters. It appears the builder has not done what he said he'll do...simple as that. I'm sure Steve would like to have his money back, just like the next guy would, but at this point he probably feels the PSA is more important. Shame...a real shame.

Not at all. TZ has screwed over many people on this board, and his reputation deserves the nosedive it took. He should definitely refund you 100% of your money.

In the meantime I'm merely pointing out the fact that you didn't know any better when you received the cue. Ignorance isn't a crime, but it can be entertaining.

Zinzola is currently ripping off two of my friends. Both were suppose to have there cues within 3 months and it has been over three years. He has giving them both countless delivery dates just to let them down again and again. His latest excuse was he was to busy to build cues this summer because his other business was doing so well.Imagine saying that to someone who has payed you in full for a cue.

Several things going on here.

One is the maker is trying to do more than he is capable of before he is capable of doing it. You folks that figure anyone can run a CNC might want to look at what's lacking in this cue.

Two is you don't treat people the way the maker is attempting to treat Steve, and crying poor is no excuse.

Three is you don't treat Steve this way. The guy is a patron of cue makers. Lots of guys with money collect proven collectible product by makers that are in the grave. That really doesn't do much in the way of supporting the cue makers, seeing they are dead. The guys that are willing to step up and spend real money supporting living (an often struggling) cue makers are few and far between and Steve is one of them. Putting a cue in Steve's collection can put a cue maker on the map, not to mention Steve goes back and orders over and over again and pays and pays. If ever there was a guy who deserved top of the line treatment from a cue maker, its Steve. A guy like Steve absolutely helps keep the craft alive. You don't dump on him, even you you figure you are getting out of the business, or being driven out. Have some respect for the craft and the people that support it.
