Yes, there are add-ons that can be installed into VBulletin (just like the vBookie) that will allow admins to read PMs. Those add-ons have not been installed here. Of course, there is no way for me to prove this since it would not change the outward appearance of the site.

I've run into this problem in the past with some companies I've done website work for and for what it's worth what the companies decided to do was pretty simple, they changed the wording.

Private Messaging became Personal Messaging.

Nothing else on the entire web site changed, the functionality was exactly the same.

It was done on the advice of the lawyers to avoid lawsuits regarding what was "implied". They were never sued over it but it was what their legal departments decided to do.

There really is no way to prevent an administrator from being able to read private messages short of letting individual users generate their own personal/private key to use for their own encryption, any other method really can never be called "private" really but I think expecting complete personal privacy on a privately run forum that is free of charge is a bit unreasonable.

Playing for a ban by itself proves nothing. Put your money where your mouth is. I'll take $500 worth of action on Purdman against you in a little challenge match if you truly are a -C like you say, and you guys can keep the ban portion of the bet on there if you like.

A race to 7 in 8 ball proves nothing. I could run a rack of 8 ball when I'd been playing for 2 weeks. Just about any skill level who have practiced...can luck in a rack of 8 ball. That is why I hate it. To play true games of skill, you can do a race to 3 in One Pocket, three games to 50 points in straight pool, a race to 11 in 9 ball, and if you really want to play 8 ball -- you can add that race to 7.

Winner gets 'x' amount of money, and loser gets banned plus "paying up".
