What are your strong points in a 9 ball match! Weak points also!

That one looks old now... That is not what I am doing! I do not know all of the people that post here. And how could I remember how all of them play pool. I am getting to know them though!
What is your name again? Do I know you? Oh, I remember you are the guy with the Deer! He, He, He.
I never worry about how someone else plays when I am going to play them. If you have to worry about who you are going to play, you do not need to play them. Worry is a weakness! And a weak point! Not worrying is good! And a strong point!
HoumaTroy are you trying to Sneak up on me?

Lock N Load.

Haha...and to answer ur question...if i was trying to sneak up on u if i did it right u wouldn't know till i was already gone...reminds me of a joke...u know how to catch a unique Rabbit ???? u neak up on him....U know how u catch a tame rabbit ????? da tame way...u neak up on him...haha...i know it's lame but it tiz a family show..lol...later Mr lock n load...come down next weekend to the cuesport tourney if u can i'll buy u a drink....I'm still on da wagon since i gave up alcohol for lent but i'll gladly buy you one or two.

Strong points - I can get out of almost any saftey. I can also kick out of a saftey into a safety. I also play really good position off of more than 3 rails.

Weak points - I lose focus towards the end of racks. Usually its the last 2 or 3 balls on the table. I just expect it to be automatic when i know that is when i should be bearing down the most.

Hello BrokeStroke,
Thanks for your input. Working on your focus in the game will help all areas of your game! I appreciate hearing from you about your 9 ball game good points and bad points. Welcome to the AZB family. Practice running 6 balls, called a 6 pack. Put 6 balls on the table and run them in proper order. Until you can do it in your sleep! Then watch your focus change!
Regards,
Lock N Load.

People like you make the world go round the right way. I appreciate your offer to buy me a drink, but it will have to be Root beer or Sprite, maybe even a coke as I do not drink. I am glad to hear you gave drinking up even for a short while. I had to work today, and I am supposed to be off next Saturday. I hope so I might come down there to meet you and watch the tournament. Thanks for your input.

im not sure what to think of your post.
but i was trying to help you out
3 ball combos are no good play safe.

ha ha ha

Weakness ??? Strengths ??? Now why I'm I gonna air my laundry here ?Just kidding . I would have to say my weakness has been lack of dedicated practice and focus. Strength would be shot making and or seeing shots others do not see or don't think they can make.
Chris , I have seen Lock play the 9 off the 1 or 2 ball ,making 5 rail combos and yes even a dreaded 3 ball combo on a few games. At first I thought this was mere luck but then after 10-12 games in a row you start to wonder .......I mean hell I have lost action and games just because people seen me in the room talking to him before .Lock is a DAMN Monster in disguise . The Lock Ness has Nessy and bufalos has LOCK N LOAD !! A well known road player also told me back in the day Lock was a Superstar , Playing four money games on four tables at one time. Many just refuse to play him and it's that simple.Maybe Earl ....on a 10 ft table .....maybe

Why, Mr. Matt90.... You seem to be in a good mode tonight! How goes it for you? I see you are letting out a few lock N Load secrets too! Remember, I can show them better than they can be told.... I am going to sharpen up my one hand game again. Take care!

I shot this drill for years. Id shoot 6 until i ran a set number, then id shoot 7, then id rack 8, then id rack 9. I would spend about 4 hours a day, everyday, shooting this drill. My brain is just lazy i guess.

Then you agree that it is a very good drill?

It is a good drill in my opinion. I teach it to my students all the time. Let me know about you getting your brain on the non lazy side! And how you make out in general after that? Thanks for your good input.

Shame on you TX Poolnut!

Strong point is that I know how to match up.

Weak point is that I can't play very well.

Today is Sunday, and you should at least tell the truth on this day! I'll bet you are a pool player to be reckoned with..... Notches all over your cue from Marks and victims! Come on now you can level with Lock! I can keep a secret real good! Opps, that slipped out. I mean I wish I could keep a secret! Thanks for your input....

On a more serious note

Strength - mid range game
Weakness - long top english cut shots

What are your strong (best) points in a 9 ball match, and your weak points as well? I am trying to get people to talk about their strong points in a match playing 9 ball. And when you talk about strong points, weak points have to surface also! This is a sincere thread. People who read the post here might pick up some info that might help their game.... Your Pool game is very important to you!

Lock N Load.
I don't get rattled and could care less what the other guy does. He can take as long as he wants to shoot, bang his cue, what ever he wants. It just doesn't bother me and never has.
I think I have a very quite mind when playing, stuff just doesn't bother me.

My weak point would be referring to now. I get tired of playing after a while. When there was a time I would rather play then eat and could play for a dozen hours with no problem. Now I find myself looking at my watch wishing the guy would quit so I can go home.

Good to hear from you again. I get the same way with your weakness point. I have not figured out why yet either. I get that way when I am winning too! Some time my opponent can rattle me a bit. Going to the rest room for long periods. Taking a very long time to shoot! Standing over the table when it is my shot!
Thanks for your input.

Back when I was in stroke and shooting alot.

Strong points: I could make anything, played patterns and the proper angles on balls extremely well. Way above average on multi-rail kicks. Huge stroke to do anything with the cueball I needed to do in order to get shape.

Weak points: I have never banked as well as I should, short rail are missed too often and long rail are nowhere near as accurate as they should be. I leave myself longer then I should too often. And my #1 flaw, when I start shooting to near the top of my potential and start running multiple racks I get that inner voice "wow, you just ran 6 racks in a row, that is pretty strong, you are shooting over your head, this cannot last, you will probably need to miss soon because this is how people like Wu and Orcullo shoot, but not you". And eventually I listen to the voice. In order to excel at a voice you need the confidence to play it at that top level and beleive that you can, and I have trouble when I start to get into the top gear of surprising myself back to earth.
