I have several break cues.

My primary break cue is the Samsara-made X-Breaker. However, I put Mike Gulyassy's newest shaft on it. I think this combination actaully works better than the X-Breaker setup. Mike's shaft feels better and hits just as hard, so I think I have more control.

My next break cue is a Omen j/b. I believe mine also has the jump portion longer than normal. I have 2 shafts. One has a phenolic tip, the other a Water Buffalo leather tip.

I also have the original Predator BK break cue. I try all different combinations of the following: Predator butt, Samsara "Sneaky Sam"-this is the all black cue they made in 2000. Very nice quality but totally plain black. Then I have the original break shaft, and a regular 314 shaft with a Water Buffalo tip. Right now I am enjoying the Samsara butt with the 314 WB shaft.

Overall, the built quality and hit of the Samsara X-Breaker and Gulyassy shaft is the best set up. Though I must say the Predator BK2's I've tried are pretty sweet. I would also love to try the Varney.

i love it. so do most people that have tried it. it balances out at 20" from the butt cap and is funny that the tip and ferulle cost more than the stick did. mind you, its a pre cuetech excalibur as well. here's a pic. nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. it also jumps really well full cue. i'm contimplating having a second joint put in just above the wrap, just not sure how that will effect teh weight and balance and what the broken down weight would be. any thought from the cue makers that frequent here would be appreciated.

I break with the viking fat daddy break cue, with a bakelite tip.

It is almost a straight taper 13 mm shaft

If it works well, I would mess with it :)

But if you want it turned into a J/B contact Rick Howard... www.macecues.com I had a sneaky pete converted by him and it was flawless...

all of the above and now none of the above

I have had Sledgehammer (pre McD), Sledgehammer with a big MG on the butt capp, Predator, X-breaker 1 and 2, FURY J/B, MACE J/B, and I am finally done with this and satisfied with my 10+ year old Picone J/B with a white diamond tip

Break Cue

I break with a Sowder cue 58 1/2" long. Made just for breaking. Purpleheart butt with leather wrap. Stiff taper hard rock maple 14MM shaft.

Do you have a website?
No sir...can't build them fast enough now. Word of mouth is the best advertising. With a site it'd make for a really long waiting list. Thats why I turned down Kelly Fisher's offer to make her Kwik Fire cues...I simply don't want to stand there & make cues 24/7. Would make it too much like a production outfit. I prefer to stay small & keep the quality high.:)

I understand. Although it would be nice to put together a page with just pictures of your work.. Maybe on AZB?
