Hello fellow AZ'ers...could you help me identify what brand custom cues use a 3-8x10 flat faced pin joint?

I just bought a 1st Gen 314 Pred shaft with a 3/8x10 flat faced joint and after the holidays I'm gonna start looking for a cue to compliment it.

Not the Ariel Carmeli style modified 3/8x10...

Just regular 3/8x10 FF -please list cue makers...custom makers only.

Although he seems to prefer a radial pin, Joe Callaluca can make you anything you want in almost any price range you want...great playing cues!! Send him a PM, Joe C on the forums.

There are to many cues to list that used that combination, however, the first to my knowledge was McDermott.

Lots of cuemakers use that pin.
Good luck.

Customs? Well....it's a custom....so you can get any joint you want as long as the maker does not have something against that joint type....but from what I have seen most will make that for you. So....there are A LOT of makers to consider.

Production? McDermott. They have been doing it so long that it practically identifies their cues and they practically own the joint. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Personally, I would be different and snag an old Mali cue. Nothing like an old sedan sporting a stroked big block with a double pumper and headers.....a sleeper......

I have seen some really truly nice old Mali cues go for cheap recently. Nice woods, nice points....seriously. Oh...and 3/8x10.

Most cuemakers have used one at some point or another, or will if you request it. I have a Rick Howard, Bryan Mordt, and an OB sneaky pete butt for sale, all have the 3/8x10 pin.

AZ's one and only Cuesmith... Sherm Adamson... He has several hall of famers that have played with his stuff and as much grief as I like to give him it won't ever be on how he makes a cue... PM him and he might find something laying around the shop =)
