I usually nurse a good microbrew/craft beer. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Young's Chocolate Stout off draft are usually my drinks of choice. Sierra Nevada is actually one of the pioneers in the microbrew and craft beer revolution, and also an industry leader in environmentally conscious techniques and distribution processes. They're also local, based right here in my hometown of Chico, CA.

Cant drink no damn pioneer!
We drink the beer!
The beer is good.

If you like sierra, try abita reatoration pale ale and sam latitude 48...

At home , i drink whatever beer was on sale, often yuengling.
Atthe pool room, water or the mccready lon-nek.

Nothing relaxes my shooting arm like a stiff bourbon sipped neat. If I'm thirsty I have water on the side.

I do love that Sierra Nevada, Baxter, and always have at least a six in the fridge in my pool room at home. I just bought a 12-pack of their Torpedo and its pretty tasty stuff. Think I'll crack one open right now.

Torpedo is a great beer. Extra IPA, very bold and hoppy. Be careful though, like the name implies they can sink you quickly at 7.2% ABV. It's a little too strong for me to sip on while playing, but if I'm not playing I'm good for 2.

Living in Chico you must be quite a SN fan. Have you tried the 30th anniversary brews? One of my favorite beers of all time was Charlie, Fred and Ken's Helles bock. Very pricey, but you only live (and drink) once.

For my money, it was one of the most perfectly balanced blends of malt hops and yeast ever brewed. Alcohol was up over 8%, but not overpowering. A nice, dense lasting head made sipping this suds from a glass almost mandatory.

I bought two bottles before it disappeared forever. I almost hate them for doing this as a limited edition offering, but I guess they saved me from a major addiction, it was that good.

Someone from NOLA mentioned the Restoration ale a while back. Never heard of it, but the very next night we went to our favorite pub and there it was on the beer list. I gave it a try and found it to be a fine brew.

This is a very complicated question...

Answers for me vary between:

- Water
- Diet coke
- Captain and diet coke
- Vodka cranberry
- Bloody Mary (extra spicey)
- Bud light pitcher
- Bud light bottle
- Golden light pitcher
- Miller lite pitcher if nothing else is available
- Grape bombs
- Fireball shots
- Rumpy
- 3 wiseman when punishing myself

Wayyyyy too many if/then scenarios here not to mention am I playing for money, league, recreation, showing off for the girl, showing off for friends, keeping a client, if its a payday, if the economy is down etc

If places offered Caffeine Free Diet Coke, that would be my choice... maybe.

Instead, I drink Coors Light pretty much non-stop.

Freddie <~~~ CF Diet Coke and Coors Light... nearly the same thing

I'm the "just water, thanks" guy. I think she waitresses hate me because my tab is 0 dollars at the end of the night. I still tip on the pool time, but they may disappear for several hours when my throat starts to dry up.

Just water while I play unless I am eating then I will have a Dr Pepper. Afterwards its water.

Double Bacardi and Sprite in a pint glass, or double Crown and Sprite. 2 minimum before I start to play for money. Im a worrisome person by nature, the 2 drinks take the edge off.

Water or decaf coffee. Occasionally I'll put one scoop of regular coffee in with 5 scoops of decaf if it's first thing in the morning. (I usually play from 6am to 8am).

Jameson on the rocks for me if I'm just havin fun. If i need to be serious then just water.

Coffee or Becks non-alcoholic.I drink coffee and water throughout the day but I will usually have 1 or 2 Becks NA at the poolroom.

You didn't have coffee in the pole?????!!!!!!...??? COFFEEEEEEE

Great commercial. I remember when that first came out. Wouldn't it be great if some main stream advertisers used pool pros in today's ads? Just sayin' ...

Yes it would. That was one of the best commercials EVER. Steve's little grin at the end was perfect.

Oops...I didn't see the water option. I drink water 100% of the time I play. Maybe 30% of the time or less, I will have a drink drink. I like Makers Mark bourbon. Neat. I really nurse it. One snifter will last me most of a tournament. It is a great relaxation tool. It doesn't really give me a buzz, its just that when I have it, in my *mind* I have allowed myself to relax.
